Darkness Earth is a story about a young girl who is Puleng, who was raised by a single mother. Puleng was a naughty girl who dated Mr Mokgopi, a local teacher. Her friend Pulane kept reprimanding her but she couldn't listen. One day Dineo her classmate caught her kissing Mr Mokgopi and everything went to South. Julia who is Mr Mokgopi's wife found out and hell break loose.

Brian Makara

Thabo Brian Makara is an author born on 1991 July 09, he is an author of Sesotho and English fiction stories. Brian Makara born in Ladybrand, Eastern Free State. He wrote a few books of Sesotho and English.In 2018, Brian Makara published his first Sesotho drama book which is 'Manyatseng,' he continued writing more stories and some of them he published on the website of Fundza. In 2019, he enrolled on fundza online course, he completed an online course 'Literature study' ; 'All about nouns and adjectives: Part of speech' and 'Writing a good essay certificate.'Brian Makara went to school from primary to high school. He went to Manyatseng primary school and completed matric at Sehlabeng high school. Brian Makara inspired more youth at Ladybrand and he brought respect and dignity to them. Brian Makara also writes plays for theatre and radio and he is busy with them, he likes to learn new things about literature. In 2023 he won award of 2023 Avbob Poetry Award.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BOOK

Darkness Earth narrates the story of a young girl named Puleng, whose single mother raised her. Puleng was a naughty and wayward girl who enjoyed dating teachers, and she was gorgeous. Her friend Pulane kept reprimanding her about dating an older person, but Puleng thought Pulane was selfish. One day, Puleng and Mr Mokgopi got caught kissing in the office by a learner. Julia, Mokgopi’s wife, found out about their affairs. She became mad and hell break loose. Puleng pinned everything to Dineo because they never liked each other. She said Dineo dated Mr Mokgopi.
