About this ebook

Thus speaks Naskar: "Letter to My Soldiers

I am only the beginning - the beginning of a new kind of humans - humans who belong to not one culture, but many cultures - humans who speak not one language, but many languages - humans who study scriptures and science with equal enthusiasm, yet pledge allegiance to neither, and know how to use both in the benefit of humanity - humans who aim for neither belief nor disbelief, but warmth and understanding - humans who are more concerned with the real hard problem of inhumanity, than the outdated hard problem of consciousness - humans who sacrifice their life treating the real hard question of hate, rather than the mythical hard question of god. I am only the beginning - the first spark, if you may - the best are yet to come."

    Visvavatan - Abhijit Naskar

    1.  Letter to My Soldiers

    Letter to My Soldiers

I am only the beginning - the beginning of a new kind of humans - humans who belong to not one culture, but many cultures - humans who speak not one language, but many languages - humans who study scriptures and science with equal enthusiasm, yet pledge allegiance to neither, and know how to use both in the benefit of humanity - humans who aim for neither belief nor disbelief, but warmth and understanding - humans who are more concerned with the real hard problem of inhumanity, than the outdated hard problem of consciousness - humans who sacrifice their life treating the real hard question of hate, rather than the mythical hard question of god. I am only the beginning - the first spark, if you may - the best are yet to come.

    Carta a Mis Soldados

    I repeat.

I am only the first fire,

the best are yet to come!

    2.  Hands (Sonnet 1301)

    World First, Nation Never

    (Denationalizing Sonnet, 1301)

No government wants to manufacture terror,

But they do want to manufacture control.

In doing so they end up manufacturing terror,

Thus they end up manufacturing war.

There is no such thing as war on terrorism,

The whole narrative is rigged to peddle fear.

Citizens without fear are citizens without border,

Democratic autocracy thrives on civilian fear.

    Ceasefire only postpones war,

    What’s needed is demilitarization.

Till borderly apes wake apart national pride,

Democracy only sustains a paradigm of poison.

    World first and forever, nation never;

Till then, all blood is on your hands.

Either you are a nation’s simian citizen,

or you are planet earth’s civilized human.

    3.  Orphanizers (Sonnet 1302 - 1304)

    Sonnet 1302

    Denationalization is civilization,

    Demilitarization is only peacemaking.

Warmongers gotta peddle war no matter what,

Why do beings with backbone keep submitting!

They say, a nation is as strong as its military.

I say, a nation is as stupid as its warmongers.

It takes very little to defend a nation,

But all the arsenal won't satisfy warmakers.

Give me a team of five, with an engineer,

    physicist, mathematician, coder and composer,

    And I'll improvise a nation
