    After the defeat, the exiled emperor, Haile Selassie, gave an impressive speech on 30 June, 1936, to the League of Nations, chastising them for having done nothing to aid his country [modern Ethiopia] in its time of need [from Mussolini] and warning, ‘It will be you tomorrow’.     Had the West cared at all about the plight of Ethiopia at the time of its sorrow then it is very likely there would have never been a second world war. Not one shot may have ever been fired.
