...Marine-One, was a tour de force; during all the battles of the last-century. ...He was on a reconnaissance-patrol at Techani Delta, the last-delta to be taken by the S.Koreans. He and twelve-comates were Marine assigned-surveyors. Third from last-team to patrol its waters... They'd been ready for final-pickup at Toulau" Bay. And they expected no-trouble. Koreans were in-violation so they were probably, watching somewhere-downhill. He was a bit-sad. One of his-buddies died-in a Jeep-crash after drinking all-night ,trying to race-back to barracks before morning-patrol. He was their unlucky-soldier to call his pregnant-wife in the states. He-knew he'd adored his-wife. Now she'd get the golden-star, and the flag-draped over his coffin at his burial. Super-imposed and situated it was the count-down to a long ago cease-fire status... He was 22-years old. All his-fellow Green-Berets knew him, as Barty. ...A forward-aficionado... But he would go-home and begin training as a Lieutenant-on Reservation Patrol. He was a Chieftain's son... But he'd rather live as an officer, than a blood-leader. He'd seen what his-people were up-against. Death at their-hands, the losing of human-dignity by violating the law; and being-treated by the whites, with total-disregard for respect, or dignity.

Barty, was older than most-recruits with the status of lead-Troop-Master. But his-rank of Lt. Sgt. imposed and superimposed-him, in as the apprising of his-duties. He was an excellent-commanding-soldier... Men requested to work-alongside him. If not for ease, for an experience of same things a Full-bright leader, due his duty on-patrol. Many were assigned by the General but he had entire-troops, wanting to carry-out operations, learning like a badge-of-honor, and initiative. Patrol was a place to know and learn, abject-duty and later-be competent in as agile and aptitude not always a withstanding. The days were warming-upon the island of Korea. The regiment wanted the cold, to make their opponents huddle; and raise the kill-strike effect.

But also the cold, made for limited counter-strikes; due to poor-weaponry. Unknown was cunning and as an overall dispensation-disorder... Most US-troops were told the story of either dependent-converging, easier-disregards for lines; roles and as concoctions-of war-fare. Korea would have been better-off left to a united deeded, affectation. But the USA-policy in '88, was one of diversionary-placates. ...Korea, would be... War-for the later-20th century, that was caught between fault, fears and afflictions. Barty, was a man-of-mission and solitude. He was inspired by defending his country. But the others were mostly, induced-drafts. He thought of them as code-men reading, their purposes by a self-certainty, sanctity of realigning and inactive contrition. Which gave him the implied-decorum, to let the judgers set and meet; their-principles, to its annulling-fruition.

But lives were important, life was inspired to be significant and secured; so battle was to meet and so this adjusted-confirm, that the soldiers' doctrine; and finish-its conquest of motivated and material, deserving and as vigil. That it was as a time, essence of incentive, in-sensed-ideals; only by the alluding of trust and security, of haves and nominal; as a contention. Korean, was a SE Asian island... Probably, the first-state occupied after Japan and Vietnam-Communism was a growing occupation, that was thought to be an enemy of the West.

...War, declared-between North and South; due thought-out ideas... It-had made for good, general-protection fodder. Where worlds, were being super-imposed. But both-politics and populations made offenders beginning-with as an intimidation-annulling. ...Lands, circa-WWII, were thought-amicable or primordial; by both advantage-takers and the power-hungry... Being-through by an ordinal, by authentic-embellishing waters'; certainty play-only propaganda-by colluding and defending, Barty knew. This, he-knew what Armed-Forces planned-in the name of defense. But taking-on a role of soldier, was in as a deed of dedication, demand and assumed-career duplicity; but nonetheless-honor in magnitude-of mission... ...He-believed a country-required as enabled-willing, devoted and disciplined; people whom under-circumstances, stood-up and fulfilled; the role of conviction and common-stance...

Native-Americans were taught defense, duty and dedication-for one's survival. America was his country and their place-hosted, a role of conviction-by the creator. And world views were under a conviction of prospect and dignity, followed by defense and sacredness; so diverging. And as every-sweep, held pardon to the right; that meant to be free, were worthy of this-importance.

They were-on the other-side of the high-range, silently observing and holding-point. The good-times were when the storms-came. When the rains-poured, on the leather-knecks... When you could not hear anything, but the roar of winds. You knew you were safe from battle... And the bases-buildings-protected you from harm. Out-when nights were solemn, and military-traffic outbound slowed, and was slower.

...He was there, when the Korea's full-moon was glowing with St. Elmo's fire, or as storms were beginning to roll-in. As anticipations for heavy-storms, when aptness
