About this ebook
Can two very different men find love with one another?
Linc came to Pacific Palms, an exclusive all-gay resort, just to hang out with his friends, Rufus and Joey. He’s hoping a week of sun and fun will heal his heart that was broken by a divorce he didn’t want. His friends don’t understand why he won’t hook up, but he’s just not sure that’s his style.
Adam, a handsome hairy handyman, is at Pacific Palms for one reason. He’s there to have sex. Love may happen, but he’s not going to chase it.
When these two men meet, the connection is instant but inexplicable. It doesn’t make sense.
Together, they learn to heal their wounds and create a love that is unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.
Be With Me is the fourth book in the Pacific Palms Resort series, but each book can stand alone. This gay male contemporary love story includes graphic sex and is intended for adults only.

She’s so glad things have gotten more respectable and the readership more broad. She is a lesbian in an interracial same-sex marriage and loves writing interracial romance stories. She loves flipping stereotypes and challenging herself to write characters that are ever further from who she is. She hopes you enjoy her stories. She certainly loved writing them.

Chapter One
Day One, Evening
At least they don’t water down the drinks here,
Linc’s friend, Rufus, said. A single black curl fell over his blue eyes as he raised his glass of lime green liquid garnished with an equally green umbrella and a strawberry.
Linc sipped his Moscow Mule and leaned back in his chair. Another point in favor of this place being paradise?
Well, if this isn’t, it’s pretty damn close,
said Joey who, like Rufus, was a friend of Linc’s from back in the day. The three of them sat at a table near Pacific Palms’ beachside bar. Don’t be such a negative Nelly. Live a little.
Linc tried to make his forced smile a little more genuine and took another sip. The spicy liquid slid over his tongue and down his throat. At least Rufus was right about one thing. His drink was strong. He reminded himself that he was at Pacific Palms to have a good time. At the bare minimum, he didn’t want to spoil his friends’ fun. Rufus and Joey, his two closest friends, had made a successful case that he needed to get outside of himself, live a little, as Joey had said one evening when they were out to dinner. "Just because you divorced your husband doesn’t mean you’re never allowed to have fun ever again. Stop punishing yourself." Then they asked him to join them on a vacation to Pacific Palms Resort.
He hadn’t answered, but said it was getting late. He needed to go home. He’d only lived in his apartment a few months after moving out from the home he had shared with his now former husband and was enjoying decorating it. He hadn’t wanted to get divorced, but there was a certain exhilaration in making decisions all by himself.
His renewed friendship with Rufus and Joey was also on the plus side of a divorce he hadn’t really wanted. They’d drunkenly come out together as college freshmen over bad beer in red plastic cups. Once sober, what they had said to each other was the glue that held them together. Linc and Rufus were gay. Joey was bi. Rufus and Joey were together, mostly. Sometimes they were friends who had sex. Sometimes they were a couple. They always loved each other.
Linc loved them, too. They were his best men at his wedding to the one.
Then they drifted apart as college friends sometimes did.
And like true friends, when Linc contacted Rufus as his marriage started falling apart, his old friend promptly set up a video call between the three of them. They hadn’t talked in a while, but they immediately started making plans to see each other again.
Dude, your social media postings have been dark lately. We need to get you out,
Rufus had said at the time.
Joey proposed they meet the next night at a ramen restaurant around the corner from a few gay bars. And, just like that, Rufus and Joey were back in Linc’s life. Like a classic car that had been kept in a climate-controlled garage, their friendship came elegantly to life when the key was turned in the ignition.
That night over piles of noodles in hot soup garnished with eggs, radishes, seaweed, and a few things they didn’t recognize, they caught up with each other. Joey was working as a software engineer for a large publicly-traded internet company and dating a coffee shop barista who was a transman. Rufus had a job as an app developer but wasn’t dating any one particular person seriously. Linc’s job as an archivist at Chicago’s Stockyards Museum was stable, if a bit dull, and he wasn’t ready to date anyone.
They started hanging out regularly. Linc wasn’t into going with them to bathhouses or sex clubs, but they hit happy hour at Christopher Street and gay games nights at a local cafe. One bar, Big Chicks, had dollar burgers and fries every Monday night. His friends helped him move on quite literally, helping him
