The Amazon System
"Personal log: April 30, 2507. I am Dr. Logan West of the Ainia Science Academy. I am recording this message in the event misfortune befalls me during the Helene Asteroid Belt Expedition. Tomorrow, fellow scientists from the Asteria Science Administration will begin our combined effort to thoroughly map the Helene Asteroid Belt. Pilots from the Ainia Security Forces and the Asteria Defense Forces will serve as escorts through this beautiful but deadly cosmic giant. Countless ships have been lost in the asteroids. I hope new technology facilitates a quick finish to this mission for the benefits of both our planets. When that day comes, we can focus more attention on extra solar exploration. Despite the upcoming expedition, I must still wonder if intelligent life exists beyond our solar system. If such life exists, the following is a description of The Amazon Solar System. The Amazon System consists of 21 known planets, a double ended tornado shaped asteroid belt, various gas clouds, and numerous comets. The planets range from rocky planetesimals to gas giant colossi. The binary system of Ainia and Asteria, can sustain human life. Ainia and Asteria orbit one another like. Each of these planets has a diameter of approximately 2,667 miles. Their gravity is substantial due to their extremely dense cores. The days are eight hours long. The Helene Asteroid Belt is the nearest astronomical body to Ainia and Asteria. Strategic natural resources in the Helene Asteroid Belt are abundant. High concentrations of uranium and other radioactive metals, electromagnetic fields, the belt’s rotation, asteroid rotations, and a mysterious fluorescent blue cloud within the belt hampers efforts to completely map and traverse the Helene Asteroid Belt. In the days of pre light speed travel, journeys between Ainia and Asteria took two days while
