One

The eerie glow of the full moon cast sinister shadows over the cobblestone alleyway, sending chills down Max and Izzy's spines. With every cautious step, Max's senses were on high alert, his sharp blue eyes scanning their surroundings for any potential threats. Izzy's normally wild curls now hung limp against her face, her usually fearless green eyes filled with apprehension.

Stay close, Max growled through gritted teeth, his hand hovering over the hidden weapon tucked in his coat. They could feel danger lurking in the darkness, waiting to pounce on them at any moment.

Suddenly, a figure loomed out of the shadows, their features illuminated by the faint glow of a nearby streetlamp. Without hesitation, Max's hand shot to his weapon as he prepared for a fight. The tall figure's stern expression only added to the tension in the air as they stood face to face in the dimly lit alleyway.

Max's grip tightened on his weapon as the man revealed himself to be Agent Alexander Alex Beaumont. Standing before them was a towering figure, his muscular frame packed into a sleek black suit and tie. In his large hands, he clutched a small, black briefcase with an air of authority.

Izzy, Max whispered, barely able to contain his surprise.

Agent Beaumont? Izzy questioned, her voice trembling with disbelief. Max's eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping in.

That's correct. I've been assigned to take over your operations in the field, Alex declared, a glint of amusement in his eyes. You'll be my contacts and advisors for each mission.

Replace us? Max spat out, his jaw clenched in defiance.

It's not up for discussion. Orders from the top, Alex explained coolly. They want you two off the front lines. You're becoming too notorious among the Nazis.
