About this ebook

Titus: Sound Doctrine and Faith explores the book of Titus in six sessions. This Bible study breaks down leadership responsibilities, encouragement among small groups, and leaning on God's grace to show true humility toward all men. Titus: Sound Doctrine and Faith takes you through the background of Paul and Titus, who these two men were, and how they provided an example to the people of Crete. Its main focus is how we can be inspired by the sound doctrine, encouragement, and rebukes that lead to living productive lives that point to Jesus Christ our Savior.

    Introduction

Let me start off by saying I never expected to be writing a book let alone a Bible study. God uses our stories and transformations to call to those who are lost and searching. And that is what Paul is writing to Titus about in this letter.

I would consider myself not as bad as Paul when it comes down to what sins we've carried out, but that's just from my perspective, not God's. He views it all as sin. And the liars, evil brutes, and lazy gluttons that are the Cretans, well, they're right up my alley. I've lied, thought, evil thoughts and made brute remarks; and have had my fair share of lazy, gluttonous days.

But Paul is reminding Titus why he was sent there, giving instructions on how to build the church up from this sin-ridden place.

Now my first thought was to divide this study up verse by verse and dissect it, memorize it, and break it down as far as I could go. But then, as I did that in my personal study, I started judging others and looking at the splinter in others with the plank still in my own eye. Further, as I read the letter as
