1. FOUND IT. DIDN'T FIND OUT!
One of the most memorable pages in the history of humanity is that of the discoveries
made by European kingdoms (Portugal, Spain, Holland, British Empire) etc., with a view to positioning their multifaceted interests in various parts of the new world.
Looking with the eyes of seeing, these European royalties, through their navigators/explorers in the regions where they docked their ships, found lands, peoples, cultures, pre-existing religions
and their own idiosyncrasies, but not known in other latitudes of the world due to the lack of exchange and adventurism.
I understand being more adjusted to reality and the truth being said: Found instead of Discovered.
It is more sensible to say, for example, that Christopher Columbus found America in 1492.
America already existed! There were already peoples, cultures, history, etc.
Furthermore, most of the so-called discoveries
were due to accidents along the way, such as the case in Brazil with Pedro Álvares Cabral in command of the Portuguese crew on a trip to India in 1500.
