Harvey Mills, born and raised in Houston, Texas, out of a family of nine children--seven boys and two girls. He was raised by a single parent (mother), who did domestic housecleaning (maid service). The boys shined shoes to contribute to the next meal. Combined with government assistance, the family survived. The Mills siblings were taught not to steal but to be honest and work for what they wanted or to simply do without.

This publication is the result of that upbringing (example). When you look for the best in people, you find an abundance of answers.

In our society today, as the result of focusing on the positives in our community, there is found a multitude of answers available to solve our community problems.

It is the purpose of this publication to bring those perspective together and make them an integral part of our destined culture.

Practicing Heavenly Living

Whenever you get ready to introduce heavenly living to your lifestyle, divine help is available. Not only is help available but it's God's will for you to live in that heavenly state of mind—a state of mind that is reflective of his will in all of your affairs. The Bible says, "Let that mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:5). The word let in this verse implies that God is not only willing but trying to give us the same mind that he gave Jesus, which has in it all the essentials necessary to establish and maintain perfect peace here on earth. This means that God is more than ready to give you all the help you need to go to heaven today, while here on earth.

You might think you don't need any help to live heavenly. However, we would like to remind you that there is a deadly, unseen, lurking addiction in our neighborhood. It is more devastating than alcohol or crack cocaine. This addiction limits our spiritual development, enhances our carnal conception of life, and keeps its victim subservient. It is called being addicted to the material conception of life! A deadly, binding mentality that will keep you living in the storms of life.

Learning how to live above the storms of life is not a difficult thing to do, provided divine knowledge is activated in your mind. Divine power is available for our use—to rise to the spiritual zone (above the storms). But we dare not tackle this task alone! We can't do it alone. It is impossible. Millions of attempts throughout the channels of time have tried and utterly failed. Finally, we as humans came to realize that we were not created to operate on this planet apart from God. We must remain connected to God to experience true heaven here on earth.

The Way of Peace!

We, the concerned citizens of the community, with our diverse occupations, religions, and ways of life have decided to become involved positively with the problems facing our neighborhood. Peace based on the higher principles of life is what we desire and donate our services for.

Although we are from various walks of life, the seriousness of the problems facing our neighborhood demand that we throw away petty differences and focus our attention on the major difficulties threatening our community.

Realizing divide and conquer is one of the oldest and most deadly warfare strategies of all times. We choose not to allow this tactic to subdue us. Instead, our divine leadership has casually stepped aside this mental (booby trap) and is about our Father's business—the business of seeking closer working relationships.

From this attitude of concern have been born the Peacemakers United Missionary Services. United to uplift the moral standard of living in our neighborhood—to help provide food, clothing, shelter, and a better understanding of life, demonstrating the power of unity while complimenting each other's efforts.

For smoother functioning purposes, the Peacemakers United Missionary Services are divided into ten distinct but unified functions. They are:

The Health Committee—reinforcing and maintaining a healthy community.

The Accident and Mishap Committee—focusing on the fact that prevention is cure, with twenty-four-hour assistance available to meet any need that might arise within the neighborhood.

Ways and Means Committee—where the will is: There is a way. These peacemakers are here primarily to enhance financial and economic stability, also to help create means to supply basic needs.

The Child Interest Committee—(producing the leaders of tomorrow) manifesting our concern for the now and future generations.

The Fairness Committee—to ensure all citizens are treated fairly according to the laws of Scripture and the laws of the land.

Cultural Development Committee—teaching and understanding the different cultures within our community, displaying through unity (the cultural of God).

The Creations Committee—(what we conceive, we can achieve) to stimulate our creativity and help provide
