Coupon Booklet

- Did you hear that, Mr. Director? K withdrew his complaint against the Organization!

- I know, Z. We influenced him a bit to do so…

- Didn't you just threaten him?!

- As we take it. Tell me, Z, do you know what a coupon booklet is?

- Do you think I'm stupid, Director? Of course, I know what a coupon booklet is.. A booklet containing coupons that can be redeemed, with the help of which we can get what we want for less or for free during holidays or sales...

- Well, we keep a similar coupon booklet for several people. To get what we want when needed. These booklets contain incriminating information (photographs, videos, invoices, audio recordings, etc.) about the person - collected by us. You know, everyone goes off limits sometimes...

- But that's illegal, Mr. Director! Reaching the goal with blackmail! And I still thought that the Organization was a decent company! You don't think I won't reveal this to the public, do you?!

- For my part, you do what you want, Z. Now, for example, you can safely go out that door. Goodbye!

- You will hear from me, Mr. Director! Goodbye!

The Decision

The President had been sleeping for hours at his desk, with his head resting on the unopened cardboard box marked Strictly Confidential. The morning sun shone more and more sharply into the room, and this finally woke the President - if the security men did not dare to come in, thinking that he might be studying the contents of the box: the hundreds of pages of expert reports that listed arguments and counterarguments. for and against a possible global war, listing the possible outcomes.

The President had indeed come to the study room the night before to study the report, but due to the sumptuous and substantial dinner he had eaten earlier - and the couple of glasses of special red wine - he fell asleep next to the paper box instead of opening it and examining its contents.. As he woke up now, after a big yawn, he hesitantly grabbed the box, but then he let go, waved it and took out the tarot card from the desk drawer instead. Amusingly, he shuffled the
