    Watchman of the Lord

What exactly is a watchman? Understanding this role is crucial to our spiritual receptiveness. The state of our nation, as revealed to us in the Body of Christ, should not be attributed to political leaders alone. Rather, the Church bears significant responsibility. If the Church were to firmly advocate for America's transformation, we would witness a profound change. God has revealed various ways America has become vulnerable to the anti-Christ spirit. I am not referring to the ultimate emergence of the anti-Christ but to the prevailing spirit that opposes Christ.

Consider this: Is a watchman someone who simply monitors television and world events to announce impending dangers? This is a misconception. Watchmen often miss the essence of their role by focusing too much on media. The biblical definition of a watchman, as stated in Ezekiel 33:7, is to receive and relay God's word.

God has even alerted me about certain harmful food items, like Stevia and sugar substitutes. These can have severe health impacts, including artery clogging and other side effects in high doses. Despite being marketed as natural, they do not dissolve well in water and can harm internal organs. This warning wasn't planned for this discussion, but it's evident someone needs to hear it. Over the next few months, I might discuss more products that God has cautioned against.

A watchman for the Lord dedicates time to God's presence and prayer, awaiting His word to deliver warnings. I have been contemplating what God has communicated for months, and now is the time to share it. Many are eager to issue warnings, but often these come from personal perceptions, not divine guidance. Television ministers, for instance, often sell fear-based products, claiming imminent apocalyptic events. This is not a divine warning but a manifestation of fear from the human soul. If these warnings were truly from God, wouldn't they have foreseen events like 9/11? When 9/11 happened, my immediate response was a prayer for forgiveness and a desire to be more attuned to God's voice in the future.

The biblical imagery of the trumpet, as seen in Ezekiel 33:3, Exodus 19:16, and Revelation 4:1, symbolizes God's voice. The Church today is often unresponsive to this divine call. We must listen, repent, and return to our first love, God. The Church, likened to a slumbering Lazarus, needs to awaken and separate itself from worldly influences, embracing holiness and God's commandments.

Isaiah 21:6 calls us to be vigilant watchmen, but sadly, the Church has often failed in this duty. We are to be truth-speakers, unyielding in the face of demonic forces, embodying strength and obedience to God. Prophetic vision reveals a Church plagued by weakness, frequently straying from God's commands.

Gatekeepers and watchmen have crucial roles. They must protect the Lord's house from spiritual corruption, defend the gospel, and maintain the holiness of God's sanctuary. This protection involves confronting sin, regardless of the potential backlash. My personal stand in 2010, during the revival in Litchfield, IL, was a decision guided by God to cease endorsing hypocrisy.

As gatekeepers, our responsibility extends to guiding the Lord's people on the right path, much like a shepherd. Pastors need to be vigilant shepherds, addressing sin and guiding the congregation with love and truth. Our ministry is not swayed by financial contributions; our focus remains on preaching the unvarnished truth. Neglecting to do so carries grave spiritual consequences.

A troubling doctrine that needs addressing is the notion of once saved, always saved. This teaching, which suggests that a one-time acceptance of Jesus guarantees eternal salvation without the need for ongoing repentance, is misleading. True vigilance involves preparing for the Master's return, living in a way that honors God's teachings, not subscribing to a misguided belief in guaranteed salvation regardless of one's actions.

    Who is a Gatekeeper?

In the Old Testament, gatekeepers were Levites, serving as both watchmen and ministering priests. Trusted as high priests and officials, they safeguarded the Lord's house, stationed at all four cardinal gates (North, South, East, and West). Their role extended to training others in guarding these gates, with hearts fully dedicated to the Lord's will. Modern gatekeepers, similar in spirit, fervently pray for revival and await the Lord's return, embodying the belief that a true Watchman is incomplete without a longing for revival.

Gatekeepers are ever vigilant, constantly reminding others to be prepared. They ensured that nothing impure entered or left God's house without approval, managing temple treasures and sacred items. The story of Jonah illustrates that avoiding this responsibility
