About this ebook

All I want for Christmas is my brother's best friend…

Haley

I've been crushing on my brother's best friend, Clay King, for as long as I can remember.

Then I end up snowed in with him, alone, at my family's cabin. A week before Christmas.

If I don't go for it now, will I ever get another chance?

Clay

Haley Carter is the one woman I can't have. She's my best friend's sister and he'll never accept it.

But I can't help the way I feel about her. And when she tells me she wants me, I give in.

I can have her for the weekend, when we're far away from reality…but can I have her forever?

Christmas Confession is a short but steamy holiday romance.

Author's Note: All of my books come with a guaranteed HEA. Once the page closes, the characters will always be together. However, if you need a marriage proposal and/or pregnancy for a romance to feel complete, my books may not be for you. Most of my characters don't want kids and enjoy living in sin. So if the latter is your jam, read on.

    About the Author

I, Haley Carter, am not a party girl. I rarely go to them, and I certainly don’t throw them. So why have I opened up my parents’ mountain cabin a week before Christmas and invited practically the entire undergrad population of Cherry Ridge College to come get drunk here?

    Because I’m an idiot.

"You are not an idiot, my best friend, Kelli, replies automatically. Because apparently I said that out loud. He’s gonna be here."

I stare out at the sea of guests again, knowing I won’t see the one I’m looking for. Even if he does show up, it’ll only be because my brother’s coming.

Note to self: do not make plans post-break-up while drunk on cheap boxed wine. After I kicked Jesse—hereafter to be known as He Who Shall Not Be Named—to the curb for being a general piece of shit, I got really trashed and confessed to Kelli that I had the world’s biggest crush on my brother Nick’s best friend, Clay.

To which she’d replied, Umm, duh. She isn’t terribly loquacious when she’s drunk.

Anyway, since it’s my brother’s last year at college—and therefore Clay’s—I figured what better time to finally make a move? The oh-so-brilliant plan I came up with was to ask Nick to co-host this Christmas party with me at the cabin. It would guarantee Clay came, and I would somehow magically get Clay alone and convince him that I, his best friend’s annoying kid sister he’s never looked twice at, am truly the woman of his dreams.

    Yeah, brilliant plan.

"Where is your brother?" Kelli asks.

    What?

Isn’t Nick co-hosting this thing with you?

Supposedly. My phone lights up at that exact moment with a text from—you guessed it—Nick.

Sorry, something came up. I’m not going to make it.

Code for, I found something better to do. I try not to let it sting. He’s graduating in the spring and, despite this party being a giant fishing net for Clay, I’d also liked the idea of hosting a party with my brother. One last time to really hang out and bond before he goes off to the greater things in life. He’s been talking about moving away the second the ink is dry on his diploma.

    He’s not coming, I say.

What? Kelli looks up from her own phone, her
