About this ebook
Being Queen isn't as exciting as they make it out to be. I don't know. Maybe I'll start capsizing ships like our ancestors used to do. I need something new. Or someone…with a black pixie cut and a maddingly inquisitive mind.
Lexi
I might have masqueraded as a classics major in academia but let me make it perfectly clear that I'm a marine biologist. Cecaelia are real and I'm going to prove it.
When I move to Passions Bay to take up a job as the new museum curator, it doesn't take long for me to get kidnapped by a dangerously sexy cecaelia Queen. She's kind of mean.
Cecelia
I hadn't counted on kidnapping a paddleboarder this morning but seeing that tentacle tattoo on her wrist with her so close to my pod's home couldn't have just been a coincidence. I did what I needed to do to keep my pod safe.
I don't know much about Lexi, but if she doesn't stop treating me like a specimen, someone's going to get hurt. Perhaps Lexi being here is the work of the universe trying to get me out of a rut.
It might be time to write up a contract.
Seducing the Cecaelia Queen is a bisexual tentacle shifter romance. Intended for adult readers only.

Chapter one
Cecelia
I just didn’t think it would be as dull as a fucking barnacle on a rock,
I lament. I mean, look at her,
I gesture to the massive stone statue of my late great grandmother, all mighty tentacles and swirls of water. A badass action shot if I’d ever seen one. The intricate heap of rock sits in the middle of our underwater courtyard, the beginning of coral starting to grow from its base, with the midafternoon sunlight dancing on the top of her stony head. It looks like she was a busy Queen. Why can’t I have that?
Darling I’m sure there’s plenty to do,
Mother says, brushing another cluster of algae off the statue’s tentacle. But you’ve barely been queen for a year. Just give it time.
I roll my eyes, snapping my fingers to summon over an eager-to-please cecaelia male whose been patiently waiting by the entrance to our community caverns in the cliffs. Then, readjusting myself on the cluster of squishy bubble coral, I guide his head to my center, between all my tentacles. I instantly relax the moment his tongue meets my sensitive flesh. It’s not earth shatteringly orgasmic, but it brings me just the right amount of comfort to be able to tolerate my life in this moment.
I look to mother fussing over the statue. What do you know, you’re not Queen anymore. You’re retired. Why are you still here? Go explore the world, join a cult, I don’t care, but we don’t need you here anymore.
Mother purses her lips. Cecelia, my brash darling, I just got my grandmother back and I’m not going to leave her now.
You just got a statue back and that was a whole year ago, is what I don’t say out loud. She’s obsessed with the rock and there’s nothing I can say to change that. I’m close to being all powerful as our cecaelia pod Queen, but my power with her ends there.
I wrap my tentacles around the male under me, forcing his tongue deeper into my heat.
"I don’t know. Maybe I’ll start capsizing ships like our ancestors did. At least that sounds like more fun than checking that our protective wards are up – which they always are, and keeping stock of our food supply – which has remained steady since I amended our trade deal with the upper coast pod.
Mother shakes her head.
Relax you old fish, I’m joking.
Kind of.
It’s then the atmosphere changes. A shadow rolls over the statue and the current seems to shift. Mother and I look up in unison and see a long narrow profile with two appendages protruding the surface of the water.
Get inside.
I order, with a lazy flick of my wrist. I let the male out from my tentacle snare, his chin slick with my juices. He looks disappointed. Maybe I’ll call him later. Mother dutifully follows after him and makes herself scarce.
Sending them away is just a precaution. We’re not in direct danger. After all, we have a protective ward around this courtyard so if the human were to look down, all they’d see is the sandy ocean floor.
My concern is that a human is out this far at all. The cliff face next to us spans two miles south to the nearest human beach, which is the closest possible point in which someone can enter the water on a paddleboard. There doesn’t seem to be a larger boat nearby either. I don’t have a particularly good feeling about this.
But I’m bored and curious, so I angle
