- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It's good as far as it goes, but I don't think it goes far enough. It's a good start. The author seems to underestimate how hard it is to just bend a whole department's curriculum to your interests in order to give yourself more time and energy to write. I know because I have tried it. The approach is valuable but the book could stand to be twice as long in order to be more nuanced and practical. If you think you're interested in this book, I recommend that you try reading it to get the ideas in your head. It's brief, and worth your time.
