Quran Grammar Surah Anaam 50 Ayahs: Arabic Grammar, #1
()
About this ebook
This is a a complete morphology and syntax analysis of first 50 ayahs of Surah An'aam. Nahwi analysis is presented in a unique easy to understand block diagram form from Microsoft PowerPoint and Sarf analysis with details of each word. May Allah give us hidayah and purity of intentions.
Ilm-us-sarf or word morphology is the first step in learning Classical Arabic. It is the science of word origins. The word Sarf has many meanings but as applied to Arabic grammar, is defined as changing a Root word into different forms to create an intended meaning.
Ilm un Nahw is the science of sentence making and it allows you to understand the meanings of sentences in the Qur'an depending upon the usage of Nouns, Verbs, and Particles.
It is assumed here that you know Sarf and Nahw. This book gives you a very simplified analysis of Surah Al-An'aam, the first 50 ayahs. First, details of the words, their grammatical breakdown in Arabic and English are given along with the Root words, their class, their kind such as Mushtaq and Jamid, and Mushtaq details as to whether they are exaggerative, superlative, comparative and adjectives, etc.
By going through this book, you will understand how to break down a sentence, look for nouns, verbs, particles, and conjunction of word on word and sentence on sentence.
I have tried to use terminology that is standard and in a few places. I have used my own to make it more easily understandable.

Introduction
In the name of Allah, the Most Benevolent and Most Merciful, and peace and blessings be upon His noble messenger Mohammed Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam.
Ilm-us-sarf or word morphology is the first step in learning Classical Arabic. It is the science of word origins. The word Sarf has many meanings but as applied to Arabic grammar, is defined as changing a Root word into different forms to create an intended meaning.
Ilm un Nahw is the science of sentence making and it allows you to understand the meanings of sentences in the Qur’an depending upon the usage of Nouns, Verbs, and Particles.
It is assumed here that you know Sarf and Nahw. This book gives you a very simplified analysis of Surah Al-An’aam, the first 50 ayahs. First, details of the words, their grammatical breakdown in Arabic and English are given along with the Root words, their form, their kind such as Mushtaq and Jamid, and Mushtaq details as to whether they are exaggerative, superlative, comparative and adjectives, etc.
By going through this book, you will understand how to break down a sentence, look for nouns, verbs, particles, and conjunction of word on word and sentence on sentence. I have tried to use terminology that is standard and in a few places. I have used my own to make it more easily understandable.
I have done all 165 ayahs of this surah but decided to publish only the first fifty to see if this is a useful exercise for readers. In-sha’- Allah I hope to publish the remaining if there is interest in it.
I pray to Al-mighty for His Help and Guidance in learning the language of His revelation and understanding His message.
It is a joy to read the Qur’an and be able to understand what is being said. I always wondered what made the sahaba of the messenger of Allah and the people around him so attracted and awed by this revelation. The key in this becomes increasing your vocabulary and that you will get it by reading this book again and again and referring to the dictionary and programs such Sarf Generator on google play which I found to be very useful. May Allah bless and grant the author all that only He can.
I ask the Almighty to accept this very humble effort and make it of some use to those who end up benefitting from it for understanding the only connection we have with our Creator.
I also ask Allah SWT to give us guidance, piety, chastity, and contentment and accept our efforts in His path.

Al-An’aam First 50 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
English Translation of the First 50 ayahs
All praises and thanks are for Allah only Who created the heavens and the earth and He made the darkness(es) and the light.
Even then, those who refused to believe in their Lord, make others equal (to Him).
He is the one who created you from dried clay, and then he decided a time,
And a term has been determined by Him, yet you doubt
And He is Allah who is one God in the heavens and the earth.
He knows what your hidden, and what your open, acts are and he knows what you earn.
And there does not come any sign from signs of their Lord except that they keep turning away from it.
So surely, they denied the truth when it came to them.
Therefore, soon news will come to them of which they were making fun of.
Did they not see how many generations We destroyed before them.?
We had established them so well on the earth as we have not established you!
And we sent from the sky on them abundant rain and we made the rivers that flow from underneath them,
Then we destroyed them for their sins and we raised after them other generations.
And if we had sent down on you a book written on a scroll, then they would touch it with their hands,
Surely those who disbelieved will say that this is nothing but clear magic.
And they say why an angel was not sent down on him?
And if we had sent down an angel, the matter would surely have been settled, and they would not have been given respite.
If we had made him an angel, we would certainly have made him a man, and we would have created doubt (about) him which they were (already) doing.
And I swear, definitely the messengers before you have been mocked.
Therefore, those who had ridiculed them were surrounded by what they were ridiculing them with.
Say (O Mohammed): travel in the land, and see how (bad) was
