Liz and Giselle have been friends since college, they even ended up working for the same company. Liz has always had a crush on her friend Giselle, a crush that Liz just knew was one sided. But over the few years they had worked together Liz had detected a change in Giselle. One that had allowed Giselle to come out of her shell and embrace her emerging self-confidence.

It was because of this budding confidence Liz detected in her friend she decided to use their planned Halloween Night out as an opportunity to reveal her love to Giselle and hope she didn’t frighten the girl completely out of her life. In a strange turn of events, both women met at Giselle’s showing off the drastic changes to their appearance to enhance the effect of their costumes.

The 'big reveal' had the desired effect of both women, they both agreed to stay home and celebrate at Giselle’s. After deciding to remain at Giselle’s still in their intricate costumes Giselle told Liz she had given away the last of her candy so to Trick or Treat the girls would have to improvise with each other how to supply the proper tricky mischief and administer the perfect pleasurable treat.

Chapter One

The doorbell rang, and my anxious feelings were mercifully interrupted for a little while as I handed out a couple of bags of Skittles to Baby Yoda and a cute little Barbi.

Throughout my childhood Halloween was always a lot of fun to dress up and walk from house to house, playing little pranks and filling my bags with candy. I never used to be nervous at Halloween. But that was years ago.

On this All Hallows Eve, I had all the reasons in the world to be nervous. I was risking more than just someone stealing my candy bag. More than just getting scared by some neighbor’s spooky antics I was putting my soul on the line.

My homemade costume was on my bed, its silky wings neatly folded on the pillow to avoid getting them all wrinkled up. I looked at my iPhone; eight-thirty. Almost time to get ready. The doorbell rang again, and walked to the door and I handed out a couple of Snicker’s bars to Count Dracula and a cute little Anna from Frozen.

Back in the bedroom, I could find no more reason to stall, so I slipped out of my clothes, standing naked in front of my full-length dress mirror. I was freshly showered, still smelling of apple-scented soap and shampoo. I ran my fingers through my short, dark brown hair, feeling it for any tangles but finding none.
