About this ebook

Percy is a music-loving, mischievous cat who lives with the vicar of St. Dunstan's church in the English village of Tunminster.

Percy loves music more than anything. He attends choir practice and tries to sing along. He even has his own pillow in the choir loft. One day, while exploring the choir loft, he finds a harp and a pouch with old sheets of music with the name Edward Elgar, the famous English composer, on it.

Percy doesn't know why everyone is so excited about the sheet music, he's just happy he's not in trouble for a change. Even better, his discovery may help pay for repairs on the church roof so he doesn't get wet when it rains.

Percy, the Cat Who Loves Music is a delightful tale for musicians and animal lovers of all ages.

A painting of a church and trees Description automatically generated

A black panther with long tail Description automatically generated estled in the beautiful English countryside was a small village called Tunminster. A little stone church stood proudly in the village center. Villagers attended services at St. Dunstan’s for at least 200 years. Unfortunately, time had taken a toll on the building, and it was in need of much repair. The roof leaked when it rained. A new bell was needed, since the old one was cracked and sounded flat when it was rung. The building needed fresh paint inside and out. Sunlight shone through the stained glass windows even though they had many cracks and in a few places missing a piece of glass due to wind and rain on the old building.

The vicar of the church, Nicholas Frost, was a kind man in his sixties. His hair was greying at the temples, and he had sparkling blue eyes. He enjoyed serving the village people, and he especially loved animals.

His favorite was an elegant grey and white tomcat named Percival (Percy for short). He was a very adventurous and mischievous feline. He spent most of his day napping in the sun, when he was not on the important feline business of chasing and playing with the family of church mice who lived in the back of the choir loft.

Percy liked to explore the church grounds and play with other animals that came to visit from the nearby riverbank.  Percy loved music as it made him feel good and calmed him after a day of feline adventures.
