Poem Collections of a Divine Woman - Shanita Weeden

    Trial and Error

We were on a road that seemed strange, some nights were cold ...others carried heavy pain.

Our actions made sense to none. We jumped the boat like our life was threatened by a gun

We were hard working yet effortless regardless of our flaws.

Some days were met with rain, nights were groggy & filled with the stench of dirt leaving a musky shame.

Worried about the old worn clothes we sheltered and the looks of society at us. We cared too much about others’ words, this we learned through trial.  With determination to sleep beyond the street pavement, we came in touch with our heart being primal.

Titanium and raw steel have no comparison with the bond that was formed.

As we sat together on the green grass though blazing heatwaves, winter snow and summer storms

WE ENCOURAGED EACH other in this maze, as if we could see a way-out thousands of miles ahead

We unraveled the missing link in the tomb together... Now as I wake up next to you on this bed

All that is cherished is the adventures we’ve had through trial and error.

As our desires start to flourish in the wondrous Universe around us, the relief once yearned for is finally experienced.  Even the fluffiest white cloud could not match the feeling of this

    Lift your Head up Queen

‘O rder! Order! Order !  I need Order in the court "!

Trying to sort out my differences like the corner store and loose cents.

Pockets filled with change yet still glancing out the window for change.

Things don’t quite feel the way I’ve once knew; it’s gotten better.

No things are not the same.

Summer is approaching and the feeling of adoring herself is arising.

The feminine desire to accessorize with vibrant jewels and timeless earrings.

Though there is one thing that troubles her, her insecurities.

This feeling.... stands in her way sometimes.

She sits at her work desk in dim lighting, staring at the line paper. Anxious.

Anxiety stands tall like Chinese walls in her office as she reaches for the pen and continues to write without a waver.

Stress tries to creep up on her from her pass trials in her dim
