About this ebook
Mr. K. Taylor Woodruff
Mr. K. Taylor Woodruff is an average American citizen who happens also to be black and a Christian. This book interweaves aspects of his life and personal growth, along with his interest in current events and the American political landscape. It is a document that chronicles what he's learned as a Christian, and how he feels those teachings should apply to modern American life. In this way, he feels that what he has to say is right in line with the views, attitudes and perspectives of our nation's Founders. Moreover, having participated in and freely offering his opinions on various social media blogs, he believes he's giving voice to the unexpressed feelings currently shared by many Americans. In his formative years, he had been encouraged to pursue writing as a career. This book is an average man's legacy of sorts, and is the sum total of his life and perceptions as a concerned citizen, watching the purposeful managed decline of America.

I am an American Christian man who happens to be Black. The reason that I mention these things will become apparent later in this writing. This is my first, and probably only attempt at writing a book. I dedicate this writing to God first, whose blessings and direction made it all possible; to Jesus Christ whose example of how to live showed me the way; to my deceased parents who, as it turns out, were right about everything after all, and to whom I am forever grateful; to the late Senior Pastor of First Baptist Atlanta and Founder of In Touch Ministries, Dr. Charles Stanley, whose powerful sermons and spiritual teachings helped me to better understand The Truth; to the late Founder of The Foundation of Human Understanding, Roy Masters, whose meditation exercise and metaphysical insights helped me to become better centered and at one with The Truth; to my son and his wife who are two of the greatest blessings of my life; and then lastly to my Nashville, TN friends whose kindness allowed me to finish writing this book out of the comfort of their home, over the course of several evenings.
I wrote this book for various reasons. A percentage of it was driven admittedly by my need to be an enterprising capitalist, a percentage of it was driven by my own distress at what I see happening to America, a percentage of it was written for myself, an average Christian man to leave as part of my legacy, but the greatest percentage of it was written because it needs to be said.
By nature, I’m not a loquacious, long winded person, and didn’t have the slightest idea of how to write enough to produce a book. Ultimately, most of what’s written here are my impressions of current events, the wayward anti-American direction our country is taking and my perceptions as to why. If you want detailed, scholarly intellectual explanation and historical analysis, then you’ll want to read any book written by The Great One. Those of you who travel in Conservative circles know who I’m talking about.
In any event, I knew I wanted to write something, but wasn’t sure what. Initially, I began expounding upon our divided America, but that only went so far and there was really no conclusion to it. In recent years, a Congresswoman from Georgia, a person whom I’ve come to admire for her outspoken and principled stands, was taking a survey regarding a national divorce. I knew immediately that this is what America needs, now more than ever.
This book then from my perspective, personal growth and insights, was inspired by the Georgia Congresswoman and her survey. It outlines the many reasons why the pursuit of national unity is folly and why a national divorce is now very necessary.
CHAPTER 1
I was 8 years old when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. I didn’t know anything about him in that era, nor was I concerned with the current events of those days leading up to the fateful date of November 22, 1963. Precisely because of his brutal slaying and the traumatic effect it had upon America, I wanted to find out just who JFK was. Ultimately, I became a JFK fan. I became interested in what shaped him, what he believed in and what he espoused politically. In retrospect, I can honestly say that he was the last Democrat president I would have supported and voted for.
With all the subversive turmoil of these days, and with the sheer
