Evidence of Christianity: God’s Eternal Process for Producing the True Fruits of Righteousness

About this ebook
The storm was raging. Cold hard wind with torrential rain and mudslides. It was difficult to keep their footing as they slowly traversed the wet muddy trail.
Suddenly, mud came falling from above like an avalanche. Both Hunger and Thirst were swept off their feet and began sliding down the mountainside. Panicked, they knew they needed to hold on to something to keep from falling all the way down the mountain to what would likely be the end of their journey. Feeling the pressure on all sides, tumbling hard, they made a desperate attempt to grab some tree branches and shrubs as they fell. They managed to stop their fall and pull themselves into some low-hanging tree branches and a patch of shrubs. Holding on for dear life, they held each other as they gazed into the dark stormy night.
Evidence of Christianity is about the adventurous journey of two characters who desperately want to help the people of the City of Morphoo, a city lost in darkness. With an inner drive to set people free, Hunger and Thirst take inspiration from their grandmother as they set out to climb a mountain outside the city in hopes of finding answers at the top.
As they navigate Mount Transformation, their journey becomes one of struggle to understand the difference between human effort and God's unlimited power to bring change through the power of the Holy Spirit. Hunger and Thirst experience many trials as they climb and receive strength to overcome from fellow travelers returning from the top of the mountain. This journey would not only change their city but would also dramatically transform their lives forever as they would come to understand, "When you change, things change."

The Search for Truth
Hunger and Thirst, two siblings, grew up in a very dark time in history. They were from a broken home, having parents who divorced and abandoned them when they were very young. They were forced into shelters and foster homes before landing at their grandmother's house. They experienced many negative things in their young lives. Not only did they personally experience the worst things the world had to offer, but they also witnessed the devastation the world had inflicted on the people who were supposed to provide for them as children.
Poverty, broken homes, violence, emotional and psychological disorders, drugs, alcohol, and abuse of every kind—they witnessed it all! Their experience though, however bad, made them sensitive to things around them and empathetic toward their fellow man. Ending up with their grandmother was the best thing that ever happened to them. A godsend for sure.
She was a woman of faith with a strong sense of purpose who trained Hunger and Thirst in the deeper things of life. Hunger and Thirst lived with their grandmother in the City of Morphoo. Although living with their grandmother was a blessing, the city they lived in was far from blessed. Morphoo was lost in darkness. All around them, they observed evil activities and broken lives. Through their own struggle growing up, they understood how bleak life can be and longed to make a real difference in their society. But how could they overcome the seemingly insurmountable evil that surrounded them?
The men and women of their day had grown cold and hard toward one another. Violence, betrayal, sickness and disease, homelessness, strife, and confusion were rampant in Morphoo. Hatred seemed to be a normal attitude and self-gratification the god of the hour. Hunger and Thirst agonized within themselves as they observed society becoming more evil by the day. The news was full of every evil thing imaginable.
Is anything good happening in our city?
they asked each other as they contemplated the world around them; their divine destiny was driving them to make a difference in a world turned upside down. In the day they were living, there were no more absolutes. Black was white, right was wrong, good was bad. It was all backward. Mankind was moving in the direction of moral decay at an accelerated speed. The very fabric of society was tearing and ripping at the seams.
One day, Hunger and Thirst decided to seek real answers to the challenges of their day. The people of Morphoo were suffering, and something within them told them there was a better way. They determined to search for truth and find a way to help the people of Morphoo. Having just graduated high school, they went down to the local college to speak with a career counselor about getting educated on the deeper issues plaguing their society. The counselors were educated individuals who had achieved high levels in the world of education.
Excited about the prospect of getting answers and setting themselves on a path of truth, they went on their way eagerly. Arriving at the counselor's office, they sat in the waiting room discussing the potential of education and how knowledge and understanding would open their lives up to new horizons and help them reach their full potential. Education was considered to be the best vehicle for making a difference in the world. After all, how can you bring change if you don't understand all aspects of life, society, and philosophy?
In the day Hunger and Thirst lived, knowledge was propped up
