Artificial intelligence, or AI for short, is a term that has come increasingly into focus in recent years. But what exactly does it actually mean? Trying to provide a clear and concise definition can be challenging, as AI is a broad and constantly evolving field. Nevertheless, there are some general points of consensus that help define AI.
In general, artificial intelligence can be defined as the field of computer science that focuses on making machines and software exhibit intelligent behaviors. AI is often described as a system or machine that can simulate human-like abilities such as learning, understanding, problem solving, perceiving, and even emotions.
The American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) defines AI as the scientific understanding of the mechanisms that produce intelligent behavior and their embedding in machines.
Here, the concept of intelligence
