Safety Rules in Laboratory
The following procedures should be followed at all times to ensure safety in the laboratory.
1. Please be prepared before attending the practical class. By being familiar with the exercise, you can minimize the chances of unnecessary accident. In addition, it will also allow you to use your time effectively in the laboratory, thus completing your experiment on time.
2. EATING, DRINKING OR SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE LABORATORY. The University is a strictly non-smoking prohibited area.
3. Lab coat and goggle SHOULD be worn at all times while working in the laboratory to protect clothes, skin, and eye from chemicals and stains.
4. Only those materials pertinent to your laboratory work, such as laboratory manual, lab notebook and other lab materials should be brought in the laboratory workplace. All other items such as coats, books and bags should be kept in the cabinet.
5. In case of any emergencies or accidents, please report it immediately to the supervisor or lab assistant for immediate action.
