ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I truly am grateful and humbled for the grace extended to me by God to develop this book for the well-being of others. I would like to thank my wife, April Strickland, for the love, support, and patience that she extended in helping me complete this project as she guided our family, even while dealing with her own health challenges. I would also like to thank the brothers of the KING D.C. Chapter: President Omar Douglas for holding me accountable to complete this work; Bishop Dr. Frank Clinton for connecting me with the team at Publish Your Gift; Brother David Jackson, Sr., and Brother Eric Walker for your gracious, financial contributions to this project; and Brother Alfonso Sawyer for your encouragement and wisdom during the process. I would also like to thank my friends Krys Williams, Garrick Younger, and Reann Gordon for their thoughtfulness and feedback during my times of uncertainty and frustration.
I would like to thank the D.C. Commission of Arts and Humanities for awarding me a grant that supported the publication of this manuscript. I was truly humbled and honored to be an award recipient. Thank you for all that you do to support artists and creatives in Washington, D.C. I would like to thank my HBCU Creative Podcast family, James Davis and Cedric Johnson, for pushing me to publish my ideas. We are brothers, and I appreciate you. I would like to thank my best friend, Edmond Limes, for seeing the vision and believing in my gift. I pray God gives you the desires of your heart.
Finally, I would like to thank the team at Publish Your Gift. I connected instantly with your message, and I truly believe that no other publishing company is equipped to carry the mantle of this project to reach the world. I honor you, and the best is yet to come.
