Prologue

The Command Center

Commander Ruslan along with his assistant Gloria Hernandez and Rank Officer Joseph Katzman were present during the briefing. Director Trace was present giving the trio an overview of the mission.

Greetings everyone, I hope all is well with you? asked Director Trace.

I am glad to have Joseph Katzman as part of our team added Commander Ruslan.

Good continued Director Trace, as you all may have heard this possible anomaly was recently found by our research team. Apparently when General Andrew Jackson was fighting the British he had come across a certain amulet in New Orleans that promised great power to him. We think this amulet has something to do with his daughter’s rise to power in this rogue time line.

Do we know where this amulet originated from? asked Gloria.

No, only that the General before he became our 7th President in the main time line had found it during the war continued Director Trace.

How bad is this amulet? asked Joseph.

We think it has to do with the creation of his own daughter Elizabeth Jackson. The 7th President was childless in the main time line, and we fear this could become a rogue time line continued Director Trace.

I should point out that women cannot vote, nor be able to have any rights during that time said Gloria.

You are right, women didn’t have any rights during Andrew Jackson’s time, but his daughter has somehow risen through the ranks and becoming the nominee of the Democratic Party replied Director Trace, you three must hurry, she’ll likely do something that this time line isn’t prepared for such as a duel with General Zachery Taylor!

Commander Ruslan along with Gloria and Joseph headed towards the teleporters.

Chapter One

The Arrival

The time period would be the election of 1848, the time travelers had arrived at the debate hall as they materialized outside.

We better have the proper attire for this century said Commander Ruslan.

The Commander then takes out an odd ray gun and zaps 19th Century style clothes on himself, Gloria and Joseph as not to stick out or draw the wrong suspicions.

Uh, I feel so old fashion! cried Gloria as she examined herself.

We’ll get use to it, because until we find out where this Ms. Elizabeth Jackson resides, we’re going to be stuck here for awhile continued Commander Ruslan, come on, hopefully we’re not too late.

The three time travelers had snuck into the debate hall. Already the audience wasn’t pleased what was going on. General Zachery Taylor was already losing badly to Ms. Elizabeth Jackson. But the time travelers had noted something of the obvious, Ms. Jackson was wearing the amulet as a necklace around her neck.

You have no business being here! So what if you’re the daughter of the 7th President? asked General Taylor who was rather annoyed to see Ms. Jackson.

You think you can fill in those big shoes with the Mexican-American War? Ha! laughed Elizabeth.

The General was taken back from such a comment.

Are you questioning my achievements? asked General Taylor.

I am! roared Elizabeth, The Whigs gave up Mexico! Not to mention President Polk didn’t bother to consult with his own party!

The squabbling on the stage continued and began to annoy Commander Ruslan. Then the Commander had an idea.

Say Joseph, Gloria, there must be a way we can obtain that amulet said Commander Ruslan.

We can’t just go up on the stage and yank it off replied Gloria.
