She alsot earned a Master of Science degree in Education from City College in New York City. She has worked in various Fortune 500 companies and has worked as a teacher in Plainfield, New Jersey (her hometown), New York City, and in Edison New Jersey as an adjunct college English professor.She currently resides in Scotch Plains, New Jersey with her husband and two children. She is an avid reparations supporter and a travel enthusiast.
