Welcome to The Adventures of the Fearless Traveler: A Black Person’s Guide to Exploring the World. As the author of this book, I’m happy to share with you what I’ve learned about traveling abroad.

Several years ago, when I embarked on my first international trip, I faced a challenge that many black travelers encounter: the lack of resources and guidance tailored to our unique experiences. As a black American, I am aware of the systemic issues that we face in America, and I recognize the importance of knowing which places and cities are safe to travel to and which ones to avoid.

Because I couldn’t find enough information, I made this guide to help other black travelers who may have the same questions. I work as a travel agent and know a lot about different places around the world, like Europe, Mexico, and Canada. My personal favorite country is the Czech Republic.

This book is meant to be a complete guide for black travelers who may be afraid to go on international trips, don’t know enough about them, or can’t afford to because of fear, lack of knowledge, or money. But I want to stress that this guide is good for anyone who wants to travel and see the world.
