It was a dark and stormy night, and James had been walking for miles, trying to find his way back to his lodgings. He had just left the pub and was feeling the effects of the whiskey he had been drinking. His mind was foggy, and he had lost his sense of direction.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning lit up the night sky, followed by a deafening clap of thunder. James stumbled, and before he knew it, he was on his knees, drenched and shivering.

Are you alright there, lad? a voice called out from behind him.

James turned to see a tall, regal-looking man, dressed in a black cloak and carrying a lantern.

I'm fine, thank you, James replied, trying to get up without slipping on the wet ground.

Come on, let me help you, the man said, grabbing James's arm and pulling him to his feet.

James looked up at the man and was struck by his handsome features and piercing blue eyes. He couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, standing there in his soaked clothes, while the man looked as though he had just stepped out of a fairy tale.

I'm Edward, the man said, extending his hand.
