About this ebook

Sabrina did something she never expected she ever would. And yet exposing herself created a connection with a man who seemed to know her better than herself.
Marcus Holden-Hays was not your average sexy bachelor. Besides owning a successful business, he had created a club for people who lived a public life and had personal secrets that they wished to remain...private. The Friday Club was a place where Sabrina could be such a member, but would she join for the right reasons? Reasons that included him, he hoped.
Then reality set in and Sabrina had to consider the consequences of her actions and how they were going to impact her future, personally and professionally. And maybe that future could include Marcus?

    Chapter 1

    Sabrina White

I wish I could say it all began innocently and progressed from there. But I won't. And it didn't. There was no innocence in the way it started with Marcus. In fact, it was quite intentional on both our parts. What we didn't expect was the way it escalated. Not out of control, mind you. I would never let that happen. But escalate it did. And the satisfaction I gained from it was...well, extremely gratifying.

It was a Friday night, about five months ago. I hadn't been on a date in over a year, and had broken up with my last boyfriend months before. My head was not in a good space that Friday. I had just turned thirty and was half a sip shy of being drunk. Never thought of myself as an exhibitionist, and blamed it on the vodka martinis. Yet, no alcohol had been involved in the Fridays since. Had the over indulgence brought out some deep seated need I had suppressed? Who knew? What I did know was that that first step to freedom, had done something to me. Something that I still had no name for.

I had worked late, as usual. My mother had arranged a get together for the family and some friends for the Sunday, so I had felt free to indulge in a pity party for one.

I remember it being a balmy night, even though winter had issued a few dire warnings earlier that week.

I had left the balcony door open, switched off all the lights inside and parked my ass on a chair with a glass and my premixed, iced cocktails. I hate olives; never had to worry about the best brand or fiddly toothpicks. Bliss - me, the night sky and a bottle of premix. The front door had been locked, my phone set to go to voicemail, and I was ready to feel sorry for myself. And I would have done a marvellous job of it, if it hadn't been for one detail: Marcus.

When he stepped out, the bottle had not even reached the halfway mark. My head was alight with a lovely buzz.

I hadn’t realised that he could see me despite the darkness surrounding my balcony, but boy did I see him. He had been dressed in work clothes, presumably the tie and jacket had been discarded and his shirtsleeves rolled up. He had untucked his shirt tails and untied his belt.

By that time, my breath had been racing more than a little, drink number two or was it three, quite forgotten in my hand. His building was a mirror image to mine, I
