    About The Author

    —Introduction—

    Why Read This Book?

Thank you for making the time to read this book.

You are about to learn a revolutionary new process that will help you discover your True Path to a life of happiness, success, and fulfillment. The True Path Program uses a simple, yet profound, method to determine the best direction for your life. This program is the result of years of experimentation, hundreds of seminars, and countless one-on-one sessions with individuals seeking to find meaning, direction, and purpose.

    Are you a recent grad?

    Are you in transition?

    Not feeling fulfilled at work?

    Need help finding direction?

If any of these questions resonate with you, then you’ve come to the right place. This short book could be the catalyst for a major shift in your life.

You might be thinking: There are literally thousands of books and courses that claim to help people discover their passions, learn new skills, and find the perfect career. What makes this program different?

Well, following your passions is important, but if you don’t understand the four roles your passions can play in your life, you could end up frustrated, discouraged, and broke! And if you don’t understand the relationship between skills and passions, you could end up ruining a perfectly good hobby by trying to turn it into a profit source. Or you might end up feeling stuck in a job you are qualified for but can’t stand doing. Furthermore, if you don’t understand the crucial role that your values play in making wise decisions, you may end up making career moves that you will later regret.

My goal is to help you discover what Buddhists call your Right Livelihood— a way to be of service to others and make a great living by using your unique combination of skills, passions, values, and experiences.

Finding your Right Livelihood will allow you to live a life of happiness, success, and fulfillment.

Are you ready to discover your True Path?

    Let’s get started!

    —Chapter 1—

    Job, Career,

    or Right Livelihood?

For many generations in America, education was seen as the key to getting a good job, which in turn was necessary for having a good life. But, most families never talked about career satisfaction, finding meaning at work, or seeking out your life purpose. Instead, people looked for job security, decent pay, a health plan, and a pension.

But the world has changed dramatically.

Today, many people are asking questions like:

Why should I take a job I know I’ll hate?

"How can I find a career that offers both satisfaction and success?

"Will I ever make enough money to pay off my student loans?

"How can I live my passions and make a decent living?

This book will help you discover the answers to these questions and more.

Let’s start by defining some important terms.

A job is an agreement between an employer and a worker to perform certain tasks. If you show up and do the agreed
