About this ebook
In times when we have needed them, children's tales have often been a light in the darkness that has proven time and time again to help overcome any and all obstacles that maybe in our path. Here is a collection of Tales that I have written and all of them have a lesson to learn from them; whether it be of acceptance or of how fighting for something that you believe in will help win the day, or just having a bad day and in need of something fun; here I lay before you all a series of 10 stories that I have told my children before and those whom I have had the privilege of telling them to.

Children's Tales for the Young and Old - William L. Truax III
The Beast Woman and Her Prince
Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there lived a hideous beast with sharp claws, fangs and scaly skin. Nobody knew where it came from, but people were frightened to even come near it. They thought it was a dangerous creature that would attack them at any moment.
One day, a young prince was hunting in the forest and stumbled upon the beast’s lair. The beast attacked him, but the prince managed to subdue it with his sword. He was surprised to find that beneath the monstrous exterior, there was a beautiful woman.
The prince was awestruck by the sight of her. She had piercing blue eyes, long golden hair, and a gentle voice. She explained to him that an evil sorcerer had cursed her to live as a beast until she found someone who would look beyond her appearance and love her for who she was on the inside.
The prince fell deeply In love with her and promised to help break the curse. He brought her back to his kingdom and took care of her like a princess. He was determined to find a way to reverse the spell.
As months went by, the prince and the beast-woman spent their time together, and in that time, they fell in love. Their love was so powerful that it broke the curse, and the woman was finally freed from her beastly form. The people of the kingdom were amazed to see the beautiful woman standing beside their prince. They had never seen anyone quite like her.
The prince and the woman married in a grand ceremony, and they lived happily ever after. Their love for each other was so strong that it conquered even the most difficult obstacles, and they refused to let their differences stop them from being together.
From that day on, the couple always remembered that true beauty lies within a person’s heart and that our differences should be celebrated, not feared.
Emily and Ariana
Once upon a time, in a small coastal town, a young girl named Emily lived with her family. Emily was always fascinated by the ocean and spent most of her days near the shore, listening to the sound of the waves. Little did she know that her life was about to change when she met a siren named Ariana.
Ariana was a beautiful creature with long, shimmering hair and a voice that could enchant anyone who heard it. She had always lived in the ocean but decided to come to the human world to explore and learn about life on land.
At first, Emily was scared of Ariana due to her otherworldly appearance and her deadly song. However, as the days went by, the two became friends. Despite being from entirely different worlds, they found a deep connection that transcended their differences.
The two spent their days together, exploring the town and the nearby area. Emily showed Ariana around town, teaching her about human activities like cooking, reading, and playing board games. Meanwhile, Ariana taught Emily about the ocean and its wonders.
As time passed, the friendship between the two became stronger, and they decided to live together. Emily’s family was initially skeptical about Ariana but eventually came to accept her as a part of their family. They also went to great lengths to protect Ariana’s identity from the rest of the town.
Together, they lived a life where Emily helped Ariana to create beautiful songs and express her deep feelings about the sea, and Ariana taught Emily about the secret world beneath the ocean’s surface. It was an entirely new world for Emily, and she was fascinated by the mysteries of the deep.
One day, a group of fishermen spotted Ariana near the shore and decided to catch her. Emily and her family quickly intervened and saved Ariana from being captured. The incident brought Emily and Ariana even closer, and they realized that they were meant to be together forever.
Eventually, the town came to accept Ariana as a part of their community, and Emily and Ariana became an inseparable part of each other’s lives. They continued to live together happily ever after, learning about each other’s worlds and creating a special bond that no one could ever break.
As they lived their life together, Ariana became Emily's source of inspiration. She listened in amazement as Ariana would sing about the beauty and mystery of the ocean, describing things that Emily had never seen before. Meanwhile, Emily would tell Ariana about her favorite books and movies, and they would spend their evenings cuddled up on the couch watching romantic comedies.
One day, while they were out on a walk along the beach, Emily noticed that Ariana seemed sad. When she asked her what was wrong, Ariana revealed that she missed her family and her home in the ocean. She had been away for so long that she began to feel homesick.
Emily understood how Ariana felt and promised
