    I’m Gail Kasper. I am a corporate speaker and trainer who has worked with entrepreneurs to Fortune 100 companies. It’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life – because my goal is to always change lives. My job is to help each person within an organization improve their skill sets so they increase their confidence and become all they’re meant to be. Companies hire me to make a difference in the lives of their people, which ultimately improves processes and delivers a return on investment for the company. Companies have generated hundreds of millions of dollars utilizing my training systems.

    Becoming a speaker and a television host was my FIRE, my passion, my Ferociously Important Reason to Exist. Everyone has one. Sometimes it’s hidden or unclear, but it’s there – and it drives you. My FIRE became clear when I started to explore the world and live for myself.

    SAD-T™, the Systematic Attitude Development-Technique™, was the tool I developed over time that led me to find my FIRE and kept me fighting for it, despite when all the odds were against me.     INTRODUCTION

    During the 2004 Tsunami, an Australian woman fought through the raging waters clenching her two children tightly against her chest. She held one in each arm as the waves beat against her body. She knew that she could not survive and hold onto both children. To have a chance for survival, she had to let one of them go. In her mind, she struggled desperately to choose – and then she released the older child. She watched in horror as her child was swept away and engulfed by waves. Hours later, the child was found holding onto a branch… alive.

    Skydiving 10,000 feet in the air, a 21-year-old Arizona young woman fell helplessly to the ground as her main parachute and safety chute failed to open. She dropped at a rate of 50 miles per hour, hit the ground, and then, miraculously, survived.

    These people survived a life-threatening situation and to me, it’s obvious that they are meant to do something great with their lives. But they are not exclusive. Each one of us is meant to do something great. Think about it this way. Each one of us has been given the gift of life. Inside your mother’s womb, you were the one who was fertilized. You survived the one in up to 500,000 eggs. You became an embryo and were born. You were chosen. You are a gift and you are meant to do something amazing with your life. You have been brought into this world with extraordinary gifts and talents. You are meant to achieve! Sometimes it’s not obvious to us. So we don’t seek to achieve or we hesitate.

    Is it that we don’t believe it? Is it that we don’t know our FIRE, our Ferociously Important Reason to Exist? Or is it that we get caught up in the emotions and fear of trying to achieve it? I understand this way of thinking because I was one person who did not know what to do to move forward. Over time, I developed a logical process to not only make the most of each day but to achieve my biggest goals, especially when emotion, or my own fears, tried to hold me back.

    Choosing this book means you are reaching for more in your life. That is a magnificent statement about your desire to achieve. You have invested in yourself. The most successful people in the world, those who won’t settle for average or normal, invest in themselves as part of their continuous quest for improvement.

Today I enjoy success and fulfillment, but I used to live under the influence of others’ perceptions, existing in a day-to-day job where I was overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated. I was unhappy and unsettled. I was living paycheck to paycheck. I have survived bankruptcy, financial depression, job loss, and broken relationships, as well as the pressures associated with generating income for a new business without having a dime to my name. I not only survived, but I thrived. I have turned my life around and live my career dreams. I’m a two-time TEDx speaker and have worked and consulted with some of the largest companies in the world. It is the SAD-T™ process that has helped me do this. By consistently taking action that is logical, planned, and directive, you too can accomplish more than you have ever dreamed.

    This book provides you with the step-by-step processes to live life to the fullest every day. By the end of this book, you will have the tools to:

    Section Three provides you with SAD-T™ tools to develop your own goal plan. Although we learn through listening or reading, the first part of taking action is through writing. Your goal plan, used in conjunction with step-by-step SAD-T™ processes, will support you in taking action to improve the quality of your life.

    The Modes to FIRE Achievement

    When I stop to evaluate what transpired in my life, I can see that my FIRE erupted when I turned the lens from others’ lives to my own life. This wasn’t an easy transition. I had to figure out how to do it. I had to figure out how to create a world for me. It’s that simple. You must do the same. It doesn’t mean you are selfish or don’t care about other people, but it does mean you have a life, that you have your own interests and wants, the things that are fun and enjoyable for you.

    As you browse this part of your life, you will gather data that leads you to new paths… then different paths… and then, life elevation.

    When we break it down, definite steps lead you to FIRE achievement. Before you can move on to step two, you must have successfully fulfilled step one. This theory follows each step; you must accomplish the prior steps before living the next step. We will address these steps again at the end of the book to evaluate how your thinking has grown and the progress you’ve made. But this is a good time to reflect upon where you are right now.

    Here’s how it all works.

    The first step is Survival Mode. Perhaps you’re in the middle of financial stress, job loss, a broken or abusive relationship, or losing a loved one. Perhaps you’re in an unfulfilling relationship or job? Your emotions are running high. You have no sense of logic or how to move forward. You’re stuck. Though you may have the basics of food and water and a place to live, you are unsettled and unhappy. Does this mode describe you?

    Basic Development Mode is where you take a step – any step – whether you get out with friends, revise your resume or workout. This leads to more steps. You are gaining insights from others and actively moving forward to rebuild your life. You may not even be aware of it. You recognize some of your strengths. You are no longer immobilized. Your confidence grows, and you see small successes – glimmers of light. Does this mode describe you?

    In the Consciously Aware Mode, you realize that you can do more with your life. You seek other opportunities, take more steps, and sometimes go outside your comfort zone. You invest in a class or hobby and have at least two strong supporters who can guide and encourage you. You may have identified your FIRE, your Ferociously Important Reason to Exist. You have successes and failures, but with the help of your support system, you pick yourself up and keep going. Does this mode describe you?

    The Extraordi-normal Results Mode is where you know your FIRE and seek direction and advice to achieve it. You are excelling on a new level of life, and this new level becomes your new normal. You are on your way to becoming a recognized talent in your field and are excited to investigate any new direction. You routinely seek a mentor’s advice. You move more logically and implement SAD-T™ into your daily life to achieve – regardless of any positive or negative return. Your daily mantra is to keep going regardless of setbacks. Your standards are higher, and you may keep your goals close to your chest to protect them from those who have yet to reach your level or don’t understand your objectives. You’re thinking bigger and want more – and will take risks to get there. Does this mode describe you?

    In the FIRE Achievement Mode, you’ve either achieved your FIRE or are well on your way. Or perhaps you’ve chosen a new direction, something more meaningful in your life that becomes your new FIRE. You have reached a point of personal and/or professional growth you never imagined. Sometimes you face Imposter Syndrome, where you find it difficult to believe what you are accomplishing. You continually take risks but won’t hesitate to include an expert’s opinion. Your ego doesn’t have an opinion. You can see your strengths and weaknesses and view neither as an obstacle to achievement. You are keenly aware of what is happening in your life and why. You understand that challenges are there to propel you forward. You accept change as a part of life and will shift direction, believing it will take you to your greater purpose.

    Transcending the Norm is a level rarely achieved – it’s the ultimate goal. It places you in the moment with life. When you are in the moment with life, you are moving forward, taking risks - both failing and achieving – and accepting the outcomes. You know there are bigger reasons for those occurrences. You don’t take LIFE personally. They are happenings you must get through to get to the next step. This shift in your thinking has a domino effect on how you see others.
