ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Piroska Varga is an entrepreneur, professional musician, conductor, teacher, songwriter and writer. Born and educated in Hungary, English is not her mother tongue. Since her 1994 arrival for a position in Australia she has established herself as a well known choral conducting and aural expert. For a long time she has been thinking about writing a book but her music career kept her busy. She was also concerned to put her thoughts on paper and being judged on her English. However, the urge was such that it just had to be done. She also believes that in a country such as Australia, a lot of first generation migrants and refugees  don’t contribute to society with their full potential because of fear relating to language issues. They are not represented in media, in TV, Radio, in the theatre world and the film industry. Our loss culturally, historically and many other ways due to this is tremendous. Piroska was first introduced to personal development in high school by one of her teachers. As a musician the idea of constantly learning and improving self is a never ending process and key to success.
