    About The Author

    Alchemy's Origin

According to esoteric sources, alchemy was invented by an ancient Egyptian philosopher named Hermes Trismegistus. The Father of Alchemy lived at an unknown period of Egyptian history, while some Rosicrucian schools believe he lived during the time of Moses and the Israelites' Exodus.

If this is true, Moses, as an initiate of the mysteries of Isis and Osiris, must have been instructed by Hermes himself, allowing him to carry out his duty and discover his I AM Presence, symbolized by the burning bush.

The earliest alchemical processes of purification and putrefaction are the many precepts and the Ten Commandments of the Lord of Hosts taught to the Israelites by Moses.

The Nazarene Master eventually added more steps to the Mosaic revelation. Indeed, the Christ stated that he came not to abolish, but to complete the prior revelation.

Thoth, or his Greek counterpart, Mercury, was a deity's messenger, and Hermes, as an ideal personification of this god, lived up to his name by his literary productivity. According to ancient writers, the Trice Greatest penned thousands of books on what became known as Hermeticism and Alchemy.

Regrettably, very few of Hermes' works survived the burning and destruction of libraries and texts by Roman and
