Patricia Ray

Patricia Ray is the pseudonym of a Dutch-French screenwriter for publishing erotic fiction. To Patricia, writing erotica is a lot of fun. But she aims her stories to be more than just a collection of steamy scenes. Erotica is as much about genuine characters as it is about sizzling sex. Patricia self-published her first erotic fiction stories in 2019 and continues to do so. Besides her books Patricia publishes steamy stories on Medium regularly.

    Introduction

The stories in this collection were first published in different magazines on the website Medium. All stories have been re-edited for this edition.

I divided the stories under three sections: Love, Lust and Transgressive. The first two section titles are self-explanatory, but Transgressive might need a bit of explanation and a disclaimer.

Wikipedia defines Transgressive Fiction as follows:

‘a genre of literature which focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations of society and who break free of those confines in unusual or illicit ways.’

The transgressive stories in this book were first published in Redemption Magazine on Medium. To characterise the magazine’s transgressive nature, its chief editor, Paul Mansfield, quotes Charles Bukowski:

‘I don’t like the clean-shaven boy with the necktie and the good job. I like desperate men, men with broken teeth and broken minds and broken ways. They interest me. They are full of surprises and explosions.

    Mansfield also quotes Octave Mirbeau:

‘Why, flowers are violent, cruel, terrible, splendid…like love.

I’d like to add a quote from Georges Bataille’s Erotism, Death and Sensuality (1957):

‘Eroticism shelters in a wildness that embodies an excess disrupting the rules of decency in everyday life.

So, I guess I should add a disclaimer here:

You can happily read the sexy stories in the Love and Lust sections but please skip the last four stories in this collection if you don’t feel like venturing into the rawness of transgressive fiction.

But I do hope you enjoy them all.

    Patricia Ray.

    LOVE:

    Wheels of Fortune

The funny thing is, Marianne thought Stephan was a woman at first. He passed her at full speed, a dark ponytail fluttering from underneath his helmet. He had a slender body with a firm little butt stressed by skin-tight spandex, which betrayed a lifetime of sports. Her competitive streak kicked in and she pushed hard on the pedals, but his lead was already too big for her to catch up. Telling herself she was cycling for her own good, she slowed down. She shouldn’t be pushing the limits of her damaged body.

Two years before, she’d felt a pain in her knee after a tennis match but thought nothing of it. A year later, she lay on an operating table with surgeons mending a torn cartilage. Revalidation had been slow, much slower than she’d anticipated. Recently, she’d dared to get back on her gravel bike to train her leg muscles back into shape and lose the last of her convalescent pounds. For someone her age – she was 34 – experiencing such a physical setback had been tough. Decline and mortality had not yet been on her radar, and shouldn’t have been. The injury and hospitalisation had also put a stop to her Tinder adventures, and to her unspoken hope of finding love. These days, her cat, Limey, kept her company, and her battery-operated boyfriend, ‘Mr Purple’, kept her sexually satisfied.

To be cycling again was a gift. Her physiotherapist had given her the thumbs up, but stressed she should go easy on herself. So, no racing, no competition, no more ‘Marianne goes for gold.’ Recovery was the safe word.

The second time the dark ponytail whizzed past her, she mumbled unconvincingly, ‘recovery, recovery, recovery,’ and kept to her own rhythm. The third time she still restrained herself. But the fourth time, she said, ‘fuck it,’ shifted gear, and pushed on the pedals, reminding herself to pull backwards at the bottom of each pedal stroke. Gaining speed, she closed in on her nemesis. When she saw him turn his head, aware someone was coming up behind him, she grinned and overtook him. After a quick glance, she realised, ‘fuck, it’s a man,’ which made her even happier with herself. She not only overtook him but quickly left him in the dust.

Stephan didn’t mind being overtaken by a woman cyclist. Why would he? As always, he continued in his steady rhythm, staying behind the woman at a fixed distance until they reached the end of the path through the dunes. There, they had to pass a gate with turnstiles, performing a sort of track stand to get through. They turned to a bike path next to the main road that led back to town. She looked over to
