    Introduction

After releasing my first bestselling book in 2021, Learn Korean for Beginners, there have been many requests for a Korean vocabulary book.  This book is a response to this request.  I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful.  If you have not read my first book and would like to pick up a copy to work on your language skills, it is available anywhere books are sold online.

This book contains 1,750 common vocabulary words and phrases from all parts of day-to-day life.  I do assume that you have a working knowledge of the Korean language.  Learning these phrases and words will help you communicate in Korean no matter what you are involved in and will make travels to South Korea more exciting being able to converse in the local language.

For each word or phrase, I include three pieces of information.   The word in English, Korean and what the Korean sounds like in English.  This provides you the ability to learn how to read, write and speak each phrase and word.

I hope you find this book helpful in your studies of the Korean language.

    How to use this book:

This book is set up to provide you easy reading of the vocabulary words and phrases.

As you can see in these examples, I have the English next to the Korean.  Under the English I have what this Korean word sounds like in English to help with your practice of speaking.  I do suggest that you have a notebook with you to practice writing each one.  My publisher has multiple notebooks available on their web site – www.polyscholar.com.
