About this ebook

The Rise of Raphael is about the extraordinary events of the second coming of Jesus. This story takes place in the future, in the dark slums of earth after the rapture happens, and the earth is full of unbelievers, of people who were called to service from God. The Antichrist and his demonic minions rise to the power and turn the earth's beautiful appearance into a wasteland that is full of poverty, violence, and death. God sends down his elite archangels from heaven to protect humanity from the Antichrist and Lucifer's powers in hopes that humanity will repent for their unbelief and follow Jesus with all their hearts before he comes again for his second coming to do away with the evil that plagues the earth and to lock up Lucifer, the dragon of old, for a thousand years of peace. The Rise of Raphael will show you in vivid detail how our angels fight for us against the forces of evil. It will also show you in vivid detail how hard the forces of evil try and eliminate the presence of the Holy Spirit. This book will open our eyes to the light and remind you why you don't want to be left behind when the rapture happens.

In the beginning of creation, the gods created man along with the universe. Throughout time, man’s heart grew colder and colder. His careless ways angered the gods and brought down countless curses upon mankind. Man’s selfish ways continued to lead mankind toward darkness. Mankind continued to revolt against the gods without any care for punishment. The gods had compassion and heard the people’s cries for help. Through compassion and love for those few who obeyed the gods, they sent forth a savior, the rise of Raphael.

Hurry, Richard. The meeting is about to start, a voice from an unknown direction calls to him.

Richard searches the room but finds no one.

A second time, the voice says in a menacing, screeching tone, The meeting is about to start, Richard. Hurry!

Richard starts to rationalize before he starts to panic. He says to himself, I really haven’t been getting too much sleep lately due to all the stress Santos has been placing on me. I must be imagining this. Maybe I should go back to sleep for a while.

As Richard goes to lay back down, the voice whispers to him again, Richard, hurry! You’re going to be late! Come to the conference room!

Richard starts to tremble as he gets up and obeys the terrifying voice. Once Richard opens the door after three failed attempts due to his hands trembling viciously, he looks at his watch. It’s three o’clock in the morning. Richard steps out of his room into the dark hallway leading toward the conference room. His bones are chattering, the temperature is freezing well below the thirties in the building. As he slowly squirms toward the conference room, he notices that there is a faint light illuminating the room through the crevasses of the closed door—possibly the light from a candle or a fire. As he gets closer, he starts to hear voices chanting in the distance, Ommm neee ommm chattamo ommm neee ommm chattamo. The chanting continues in a loud, deep tone. From the sounds of it, Richard can distinguish that there is more than one person chanting. Then suddenly, as he gets within an arm’s reach of the door, he hears a familiar voice say to him, Come, we have been expecting you, Richard. The chanting continues.

Richard’s heart starts to race as he says to himself, How did they know who I was? The door is closed and why am I hearing voices? I must be having a bad dream. I better wake up before I wet the bed. As Richard’s mind continues to race, searching in a desperate attempt to wake up from this nightmare, he comes to a terrifying realization: this is no nightmare. This is as real as it gets. In that same instant, a loud voice pierces his ears with thundering volume, saying, Enter! As Richard’s trembling hands convulse with fear, he attempts to open the door. The door explodes open.

With passion driven by fear, he peers into the conference room curiously. Through the gloomy candlelight in the darkroom, he can make out a group of people wearing black-hooded robes with skeleton masks covering their faces. Terror-stricken, Richard starts to stumble and lose control of his bowel movement. The room starts to spin, and he suddenly feels nauseous. Before he knows it, a familiar face comes close and grabs a hold of his arm. It’s Santos.

Holding Richard up with his left hand, he shouts at Richard, What took you so long? With his other hand, Santos smacks Richard across the face. Richard! Santos shouts at him. Get it together and get your ass over there and join the meeting before I let you taste my blade.

Richard, terror-stricken, feels something is terribly wrong but does not let his boss know what he’s thinking and obeys his command. As Richard staggers toward the group of hooded, masked men, one of them approaches him and hands him a mask and hooded cloak. The mysterious voice behind the mask advises him to Put this on if he wishes to live. Without question, Richard attempts to put the cloak and mask on with trembling hands and knees. He finally gets it on after a couple of minutes of fumbling around with it. He then staggers to the group of men chanting the demonic song. As he gets within a foot from the circle of masked men, a space opens up and he steps in place to fill in. Before his eyes can adjust to the flickering candlelight of the room, the voice in his head says, Welcome to the rebirth of Bezubell the king of the demons. Ha ha haaaah. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Santos approaching the circle, dragging a young woman by her hair. The young woman appears to be around her twenties, with long blond hair.

The chanting continues to grow louder as Santos approaches the circle and throws the battered young woman in the center. She falls with a weightless limp body on top of bones and blood. Laying there helpless and almost beat to death, she stares up at Richard and tries to extend a hand to him as a desperate attempt for help. Richard wants to cry. He has never felt so scared for a person in his entire life. All of a sudden, the chanting stops. All he can hear is the whimpering of the battered woman’s voice, and a second woman’s voice starts to speak in a loud voice.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the rebirth of our King Bezubell.

The group shouts in unison, Hail the illuminated one!

I, Marissa, find the sacrifice of this virgin a worthy token of appreciation for the resurrection of our dark lord. His rebirth will guide Santos and I into the new millennium of the Illuminati.

Hail the illuminated one! the group yells out again. Marissa steps forth and grabs the young virgin by her blond hair, unsheathing a dagger from her waist and slices the virgin’s throat. Blood spills all over the bones. Looking up, she starts to chant at the top of her lungs, Find pleasure in this death, find pleasure in her death. Find pleasure and come back from death.

Instantly after the virgin took her last breath into death, the candles in the room go out. The room is completely dark, and no one says a word for about a minute. Suddenly, the bones on the floor start to rattle and the candles come back on blazing harder than before. Everyone remains silent. Then all of a sudden, the dead virgin laying on the floor sits up and screams at the top of her lungs, Eeeyarraaa! Everyone steps back, scared shitless. The blond virgin, still bleeding from her throat, stands up with blood-red eyes and says, Who seeks me? Who disturbs me? in a loud, menacing voice.

Father, it was I, Santos, who raised you from Hades. We need you to help us rule this earth. We have already established dominion over this earth. Your kingdom is ready for you to rule.

I see, Bezubell replies. You have done well, my son. You will be rewarded for your obedience to your dark prince.

The virgin turns to Richard and says, This vessel shall do. She opens her mouth and a black fog starts to protrude into Richard’s mouth until it fully consumes him. Richard starts to convulse violently until the demon takes full control of his mind, body, and soul. The minute his body stops convulsing, he stretches his arms out and takes off the mask. Revealing his black eyes, he says, Damn, it feels good to be back.

Marissa steps toward him; takes off her mask, revealing her long, silky brown hair; and goes to kiss him. As she reaches in for the kiss, thunder and lightning erupts violently, lighting the whole room up. Suddenly, Bezubell steps back in fright and says, Something’s wrong. Something is terribly wrong.

Marissa says, Master, what’s wrong? We have made all of the proper preparations for you. Darkness has consumed the earth. We rule all nations. There is nothing to fear, for the light of the earth has been vanquished.

Silence, you wretched wench. You sent me here to get vanquished by the gods. I will kill you. What are you talking about? The gods have given up on the world and let darkness envelope it.

    Marissa says, Liar.

Bezubell screams and grabs her by the throat with two shadowy, black, ghost arms and picks her up ten feet off the floor. The thundering continues and lightning starts to strike the building. As we speak, I can feel the heavens sending forth light upon this wretched creation. I know that you and your little family hear ‘Thhhkkkaahh’.

Lightning bursts through the window, punching a hole the size of a basketball through Bezubell’s chest in midsentence.

    *****

Emerson bursts into the room and sees Gabriel holding a puddle of water spread out in front of him, floating six feet off the floor, standing next to Tyler. Gabriel, did you feel that?

Yeah! Tyler and I were just talking about it. We felt something break through the rift and penetrate the earth with supersonic velocity, Gabriel says.

At the same time, the little powwow they were having got interrupted by violent bursts of lightning that came crashing through the window and struck the demon that they had just resurrected in the chest, leaving a hole the size of the Grand Canyon through the man’s upper body.

We thought it was you that was creating all of this commotion, Tyler says.

Don’t be crazy, Tyler. We know that you’re slowly starting to lose your mind because of all those chemicals that you’re inhaling from all of your experiments gone wrong. It would take the combination of Gabriel and me to create that type of lightning, not to mention that volume of a veil to get close enough without being detected. Besides, you guys knew that I was with my wife, Emerson says.

If this wasn’t yours or Gabriel’s doing, then who was it? We have combed through the whole earth, searching for another who has the gift for years and have found none. We have used every remedy under the sun. Astral projection, call of the spirits, electrical pulse, holy magnetic field finders—all tests have proven that there is no other.

That only means one thing, Gabriel says in an ecstatic voice, as he looks at Emerson, then back to Tyler.

The gods have finally sent him.

Are you saying what I think you’re saying? That the prophecy has finally been fulfilled? That our missing piece has finally come from the gods to help us win this battle we have been losing for years? Emerson says.

Precisely, Gabriel says. They have sent us Raphael. At last, our prayers have been answered. Tyler, start up the electrical pulse and the holy magnetic finders. We might need both to find him. Emerson, get prepared to leave and warn the men; we might be gone for a while, Gabriel says confidently.

I’m on it, Tyler says in an excited voice.

Ten steps ahead of you, bro, Emerson yells over his shoulder as he runs down the hallway toward the barracks in excitement.

    *****

The thunder and lightning wakes up Aletia from her sleep as it rocks the house and lights up her room with bright, blinding flashes. The rain begins to hammer down on the roof louder and louder, and slowly, it starts to hail. Aletia wakes up Shain and says, Shain, Shain, wake up. I’m scared.

Hahhh, babe, it’s three thirty in the morning. What’s wrong?

Wake up. Wake up. Something’s happening. I can feel that the gods are angry. It hasn’t rained this hard in years, Aletia says.

All right, all right. I’m getting up. Shain sits up and turns on the light. What is going on tonight? Babe, you’re right. The gods must be angry about something. It’s pouring outside.

Shain, it goes deeper than that, Aletia says. There’s something that I need to tell you.

Babe, are you okay? You can tell me whatever you want. I love you more than anything, you know that, Shain says.

Aletia, sitting on the edge of the bed in tears, looks up to Shain and says, Promise me you will not get mad and that you will understand.

I promise, honey. What’s wrong? Tell me please. You can trust me.

Aletia takes a deep breath, wipes the tears off her face with her shirt, and says, Okay. Nine months ago, I was in the garden praying to God for help because I felt like we were the last ones left on earth that still loved him. When I opened my eyes, I saw two, tall, muscular blond men in snow-white garments approach me with the sun setting behind them. I was terrified, and I had no strength to get off my knees to run. Then, I heard a voice say, ‘Aletia, fear not my daughter. Your prayers have been answered,’ and a comforting hand lifted me onto my feet. The man to my left was the one who picked me up. I suddenly began to feel a sense of overwhelming love pour over me, and his face started to look familiar. He said, ‘Aletia, let me introduce myself. My name is Jesus your God, and this gentleman here is Raphael. He has something he wishes to ask you.’ Raphael stepped forward, grabbed my hand, and kissed it. Then, he says, ‘My name is Raphael. It’s a pleasure to meet you.’ I looked at him with astonishment for about a minute, lost in thought, not knowing if I was dreaming or not. Then, finally, I snapped out of it and said, ‘Excuse me, where are my manners? It’s a pleasure to meet you too.’ Then, Raphael started to smile and says, ‘I know that this must be a little hard for you to believe, but this is real. I am the archangel Raphael, and your prayers have been heard. Jesus told me how devoted you have always been to him and how compassionate your prayers are directed with pure love. He told me how you pray for hours crying for help constantly and how you always ask him to use you to help fix this world. God has found so much delight in your obedience to him, in this troublesome time, that he has decided to bless you.’ My eyes light up and my knees started to get weak, and before I knew it, I was in tears. Jesus reached out and put his arm around my shoulder and said, ‘It’s okay. I’m here for you.’ Raphael looked me straight in the eyes and said, ‘Aletia, would you be so kind as to let me enter into this world through you please?’ I responded, ‘What do you mean? How can I do that?’ ‘By becoming my mother and letting my soul enter into your womb as a baby.’ I started to cry and said, ‘Yes. I would be honored to.’ Raphael said, ‘Thank you so much. I love you like a mother already,’ and he gave me a hug. Then, Jesus said, ‘Thank you, Aletia,’ and kissed my left cheek and hugged me. ‘Tonight, make love with Shain and you will get pregnant. Don’t tell him what happened today until nine months from now, when you get the sign that Raphael’s soul has entered into your baby. When you get the sign that his soul has entered into your body, tell Shain immediately and go to the doctor to give birth,’ Jesus said. ‘How will I know when his soul jumps into my baby? What will the sign be?’ ‘On the ninth month of your pregnancy, the heavens will rumble violently with lightning and thunder and start to shower harder than you have ever experienced. When you experience this, do not get scared because this is the sign that Raphael is about to enter into your womb. Immediately after he enters into your womb, your water will break and the storm outside will clear,’ Jesus said. ‘Where will I find a doctor in this dark day and age? All of the hospitals are either burned down or corrupted with evil! I have heard stories from people that the doctors are possessed and are murdering people, my Lord.’ ‘All this is true, my daughter, but fear not for your neighbor to the left of your house will deliver your baby. My holy spirit will guide him,’ Jesus said. ‘Okay, Lord, I have faith that all of this will come true. Thank you so much for hearing my prayers and for blessing me. I will obey all of your commands that you have told me today, and I will be the best mother I can be.’ When I finished telling him how grateful I was, he told me that they had to go. They both gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said thank-you. Immediately after they gave me a hug and a kiss goodbye, Jesus’s body and face turned into water and he slowly started to evaporate into the clouds above. As I stared in astonishment, I looked at Raphael expecting the same thing to happen except he didn’t turn into water. Instead, he waved goodbye. He looked up into heaven and turned into a lightning bolt and shot straight up into the clouds above.

Shain looks at her in astonishment. Babe, are you serious? This is wonderful. In my wildest dreams, I would have never thought that my family would grow so close to God. This calls for a celebration. I will open that bottle of wine we have been saving.

There’s no time, Shain. My water broke, Aletia says.

What? Oh praise to the holy Lord! Thank you, Jesus, Shain says. Then suddenly, he looks at her with a confused look and says, Wait. What did you say?

Shain, my water broke. I’m having the baby, Aletia says.

Shain jumps into action and starts to put his jeans on and falls on the floor. He gets right up in excitement and says, I’m okay. Don’t panic. Just let me think.

There’s no time! I’m having the baby! Aletia screams.

Okay, okay. Just breathe. Shain grabs her by the hand and throws a blanket around her and leads her toward the door. Okay, so God said that our neighbor to the left will help us deliver him, right?

    Yes. That’s Charlie.

Are you sure? Charlie’s just a young hippy.

There’s no time. He’s coming, Shain. Hurry! Aletia screams.

Shain rushes out of the house, leading Aletia by the hand in the pitch-black night. When they get to Charlie’s hut, Shain starts to bang on the door and yells, Charlie, open up! It’s Shain! Open up!

A light turns on inside, and Charlie opens the door right away, holding a pistol in his hand and says, Shain, what are you doing out here at this hour? And why aren’t either of you wearing shoes? It’s raining outside. You’re going to get sick. Get inside, hurry.

Once Shain and Aletia get inside, Charlie says, Now what’s this all about?

Aletia says, Charlie, I’m having a baby. You need to help me deliver it.

What? I can’t deliver a baby. I never have before, Charlie says.

There’s no time to argue, Shain says as he lays down the blanket on the floor that was wrapped around Aletia. Baby, lay down here as we figure out what to do, okay?

All right, but hurry, Shain, Aletia says.

Charlie, grab some towels and a couple of wet rags while I go online to figure out how to do this, Shain says.

All right, but you’re cleaning up the mess after, and don’t bother going on the Internet to figure out how to deliver the baby.

Why? Shain says. They have good info on there that we might need.

Because even though I have never delivered a baby before, I have read a lot about it. I think I can do it. There is no other option we have, Charlie says.

Good. I knew you had it in you, bro, Shain says.

    *****

What happened? Santos yells at the top of his lungs as he walks over to Marissa.

You told me that you made all of the proper preparations and that everything was ready. You promised me that those scummy freedom fighters would be nowhere close. You told me that the time was right to resurrect our king. What are we going to do now? He is furious with us. He thinks that we set him up. Maybe he’s right. Have you turned on us? Are you a freedom fighter? Huh? You stupid bitch. No, I promise you I’m loyal to the Illuminati, Marissa says.

    Then what happened?

I don’t know. I made all of the proper preparations. I set traps and troops all around the compound, two miles in each direction. There is no way that they could have broken through the lines without getting killed or setting an alarm off at the very least, Marissa says.

Well, they did. They penetrated through our barriers and killed our prince. For the lack of performance and careless preparations, I find no other use for you, you wretched whore. Santos reaches a hand out and grabs Marissa by the hair with his dark magic and drags her toward him. When she gets within an arm’s reach from him, Santos unsheathes a sword and chops her head off. He leans over; picks up her decapitated head by her bloody, wet hair; and looks around the room at the other members. Let this be a lesson to all of you. If any of you think that you can outsmart me, this will be your head in my hand next time. If any of you show any signs of revolt or disregard for my rules, I will eat your heart while it’s still pumping. Damond, you’re second-in-command now. Sonya, get this place cleaned up and drain all of her blood into the bath. We are going to need to do a calling, so we can find out what our next step is.

Yes, master," Sonya and Damon reply at the same time.

    *****

Tyler, hurry up with it. They’re starting to figure out what happened. If they find him before we do, that can be a big problem, Gabriel says.

I’m on it, boss. The electrical pulse is almost fully charged and the holy magnetic field finders are ready to go. Try to stall them for a few more minutes, Tyler says.

All right, but hurry. They’re moving fast, Gabriel says.

All I need is five more minutes, and it will be fully charged, captain, Tyler says.

Okay, I will work on stalling them, Gabriel says. Gabriel, still holding the puddle of water that is spread out in front of him, continues to use it to see what the enemy is doing. As it floats in front of him, he can see everything that is going on in the Illuminati compound, as clear as if he’s looking at a TV screen. I’m going to hit them with a blast, Gabriel says, but after I do it, I will have to shut down the projector portal, because they will be able to find out where we are if I keep it up.

Tyler looks up and says to him, What in the world is a blast?

It’s one of my new tricks. Watch this. Gabriel directs all of his attention to his right fist until it turns bright orange, then punches into the puddle of water, sending a ball of fiery electrical energy into the ceiling of the Illuminati’s compound. Right above where there meeting was being held. Then, he makes the puddle of water evaporate instantly into the palm of his hand. That should do it, Gabriel says confidently.

Tyler looks at him in astonishment and says, What did you just do? You never cease to amaze me.

Gabriel starts to chuckle, Ha ha, I will explain later. Is it ready?

Yeah, fully charged, ready for ignition, Tyler says with a smile.

Great. Now, all we need is for Emerson and Mona to get in here so we can fire it up. Let me see where he’s at. Gabriel uses his telekinetic powers to call Emerson. Emerson, what’s going on in the barracks?

Everything is ready. The men are on high alert, and Mona and I are on our way back.

Great. How long until you guys get here? The electric pulse is fully charged.

Cool. See you in less than a minute, Emerson says.

Tyler, fire it up! Gabriel says.

Aye aye, captain, Tyler says with big, mad scientist eyes. As he starts to push the lever, electricity begins to protrude out of the sides of it.

Is it going to work? Gabriel shouts at him.

Yes yes yes, more power more power, Tyler says as he continues to press the lever farther and farther. When he gets five inches away from pressing the lever to full velocity, he begins to struggle and Emerson comes up behind him, puts his hand over Tyler’s, and presses it to full velocity. At that very second, all of the lights go out and the electric prongs light bright orange.

The satellite is ready. Hit it, Mona says.

With electricity climbing up the walls around the generator, Tyler hits the release button with a huge grin on his face and with his hair standing straight up from the electricity. Booommm, the electric pulse shoots from the prongs, traveling at the speed of light. It travels the earth’s surface with their satellite following it. It continues to travel for miles, traveling through darkness, searching for a light source to absorb all of its positive energy.

Where’s it going, Mona? Gabe asks.

It’s traveling north. It seems to be going faster than usual. The satellite is having trouble following it, Mona says.

Don’t lose it. We need this to work, Emerson shouts.

I got this, man, Mona says.

It’s slowing down now. Wait, it stopped. He’s in Oregon. Put a magnet on him quick, before he absorbs all of the electricity, Gabriel shouts.

Got it, Mona says. I got him magnetized and his exact location. He’s in Ashland, Oregon.

Perfect. Good work, Mona, Gabriel says. Emerson, open up the vortex. We are going to have to teleport there.

Already on it, bro. Ready to go when you are, Emerson says.

Okay, Mona, you’re coming with us, Gabe says.

I can’t. I need to finish up my Genesis formula. It’s almost perfected, Mona says.

Okay, Tyler, get your backpack on. We’re leaving in three minutes.

I’m on it, boss. You know I keep it ready to go at all times.

Do you have your magnetic field finder? Gabe asks.

I keep it attached to the back of my cell phone at all times, Tyler said.

    Good thinking, Gabe said.

Gabe, Tyler, hurry. The vortex is at full velocity, and the black hole is ready for teleportation. I love you, honey. See you soon, Emerson says to Mona.

Wow, that vortex is strong. I can feel it bending this dimension, almost breaking it in two. Are you sure that this is safe for me to travel in, seeing as I’m human and all? Tyler says.

Tyler, there is no time for games, Emerson says as he grabs the back of Tyler’s backpack and pushes him into the black hole. Emerson looks back at Mona and blows her a kiss as he jumps in, and Gabe follows.

    *****

Bhhhhussshhh! What in the fuck was that? Santos yells. Damond, don’t make me fire you on your first day. Find out what the fuck that was and put an end to it. I can’t afford to waste any more time with all of these damn distractions.

    Yes, sir, Damond says.

Sonya, forget about cleaning up for now and just prepare the calling. There is no time to waste.

Yes, master. I will have it prepared in two minutes, Sonya says.

Do it faster, or it will be your blood that will be used for the calling, Santos shouts.

Yes, master, Sonya shouts as she jumps into motion. Sonya grabs the decapitated body of Marissa by her leg and starts to drag her across the floor, creating a smeared trail of blood across the floor. She drags the body into the bathroom, plugs the drain in the bathtub, and places the corpse in it. Sonya knows that she better fill this tub up fast with blood or it will be hers and Marissa’s blood in there. She pulls out a dagger and drives it down into the body’s stomach and cuts her in half. She squeezes both ends of the body to create as much blood flow as she can.

Santos comes bursting into the bathroom with the rest of the crew and says, That’s good enough. That will do.

Sonya grabs the two halves of the bloody, battered corpse out of the bathtub, and lays them under the sink. What’s next, master? Sonya says, covered in blood from head to toe.

Before Santos could speak, Damond comes bursting into the bathroom and says, One of the men just saw a freedom fighter. Somehow, he teleported here and blasted a hole in the roof.

What? How in the underworld did he do that? Well, there is no time to find this out right now. We will have to pay this more mind later. Is it safe to proceed with the calling, Damond? Santos asked.

Yes, we have strengthened the parameter and swept the grounds. There will be no more distractions.

Good, Santos says as he sets up candles around the bathtub and lights
