    Journey to the Unknown Worlds

    The Return of Rakim

Rakim, the Protector of the Universe

    Journey to the Unknown Worlds

Rakim was back in today’s world where his empire was still the territory of demons. Rakim thought that the return to the dark worlds would awaken in him the desire to perform the hex, but it was not like that. On the contrary, he felt more confused. Apparently his human nature had had a great effect on him. Atocha, his right hand and faithful friend, recommended staying inactive for a while to see if his demonic instincts required action.

Meanwhile, in the destroyed world of humans, beings and cults from other worlds continued to arrive, strengthening their domain over time. Rakim accepted Atocha’s advice, but in reality, he didn’t want to stay in the dark worlds after having traveled so many others. Then Atocha, who was looking behind the magic eye of the demons, realized that there was an illuminated place where they had never been; maybe it would be a good idea to explore new worlds since the realm of humans now belonged to the world of shadows. Rakim thought it was a good idea; that would allow him to get away from the darkness while he decided what to do with his life.

Atocha gave Rakim new powers, including the ability to transform from spirit to matter when it was convenient for him, thus avoiding unnecessary encounters. Rakim, who also had the power to transport himself in moments, considered his new powers useful. Atocha said goodbye, promising to take care of the cult and accompany him at every step through the magic eye. Rakim decided to travel as a spirit and present himself in a matter when it was convenient for him; he would also use his power to transport himself in moments to travel in time.

Rakim faced the immensity of the seas, crossed the oceans, immense territories, mountainous areas, and ice continents. It seemed like a journey to infinity. He walked forests, meadows, plains, and valleys; he swam rivers and lakes and studied the animal species but found no signs of human existence. Sometimes he thought to change direction but preferred to stay in a direct line even if he never reached a destination. Rakim was so far distant that the magic eye of the demons had lost its trace. Over time, Rakim began to see territories that seemed habitable, but it seemed to be in another time. Instead of traveling over the territories, he was going back in time. Or maybe he had traveled to another earthly plane.

One night, while walking along the coast, he heard a noise that came from the sea. It seemed like a wave that got bigger as it approached the shore. He hid behind a rock to observe what happened. Rakim saw some strange beings come out of the waters. While moving away, they went into the grove, transforming into human beings. Rakim was used to strange things, but this time he had no explanation for what was happening. The event occurred repeatedly, and the beings appeared in great numbers. Rakim knew that this was an unknown world and that he should not expose himself if he wanted to stay out of danger; therefore, he decided to stay as a spirit in the hope that they would not notice his presence.

When these beings entered the grove, they didn’t remain visible for long. Rakim thought that perhaps these beings could see him still in his spiritual form. He had to take a risk anyway if he wanted to know what was happening in that place. So he decided to follow them closely, and as the last group passed, Rakim went after them.

After passing the grove, the beings took different directions. Rakim didn’t know which group to follow, so he stopped for a moment, observing where they were going. But something strange happened. While they were moving away, they were disappearing on the ground until there was no being in their sight. Rakim continued exploring that place in the middle of the darkness until he reached a rocky terrain in a semidesert area, and in the shadows, he saw a castle on top of a giant rock. Rakim approached the rock and, looking from below, realized that there was no way to climb to the castle. Rakim muttered, What now? So he returned to the coast to see if these beings returned to the sea; perhaps he could learn more about this mystery.

When the night came, Rakim, hidden behind the rocks, saw a group of people leaving the grove and transforming into strange beings that were lost in the water, just like he imagined. When the last group passed, Rakim didn’t know what to do; now he knew what was happening, but he didn’t know why. He could witness the same event every day, but he would always be oblivious to reality. This time, instead of waiting for the sunset, Rakim returned to the mysterious castle to see if he could find a way to enter and find out who lived there.

Rakim walked around the huge rock that served as the base of the castle but didn’t find the slightest clue. So he sat on the edge of the rock and took a break. He had no idea what to do next. He thought to wait until dawn to have a better view of the area, but the dawn never came. This took Rakim out of his senses; now he was far from understanding what was happening. Rakim decided to get away from that place and continue his journey, but when he was on his way, a sweet voice took him by surprise. Hello, where do you think you are going?

Rakim looked around and saw nothing. Then he thought they were imaginations and tried to continue on his way, but before his eyes appeared a pair of hands that reflected the face of a woman who this time said, I know you are there. I can see you, just as I can lower my hands and you can never see me. Don’t be scared. I am not your enemy. I am a living entity that inhabits this world. Now, can you tell me who you are? What are you looking for here?

Rakim accepted that the entity could see him in his spiritual form. He had no doubts that they had discovered him; he had no choice but to speak with that being. Rakim told her everything, that he was just passing through since he was making a journey through unknown worlds. The entity believed his story, but now Rakim was in great trouble. The entity explained to him that many years ago in this place, they waited for the arrival of a being from another world who would fight for them and restored normality to their gods. The entity concluded by telling him that there was no way to get out of that place, that they didn’t know how he got there but now he had to face it… And he should not only do it for them but also for his own life. He no longer had a choice; if she could see it, they knew it too, and maybe they were waiting to see what Rakim was going to do. But they would never let him escape.

Then the entity asked him to follow her. She led him to a
