How Teachers Can Ignite Learning
Why Students Do Not Learn
I dedicate this work to Dr. Margaretha E. Bischoff on her retirement from South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. She was the best Dean in an academic institution anyone can ever imagine working with.
To the memory of Bill Green on his transition, he was the Assistant Chair of the Political Science Department of South Texas College. He wrote my doctoral recommendation letters and provided wonderful support, but did not live to see the effort he invested in.
To my wife for her support during the process of writing this book, and the commitment she has shown our family and my demanding academic work. I am beyond proud of her unexplainable patience.
