About this ebook

I write in my Harlem apartment in Wagner Projects. And I come over with great ideas when sitting in my black painted room. Where I started writing Love of Break Dancing and My Life with My B-boy Husband along with the next book. While writing I enjoy drinking a cup of coffee and listening to music. You may have seen me on the internet due to me being different, having a lot of piercings. I hope the readers really enjoy the books that I have written in which I call the new line love. New line love means to write a romantic story that is different from the rest. I am a twenty-five-year-old black girl who’s a hopeless romantic and believes in love. I am also nerdy and wear black lipstick.

Being different is brave, powerful, and wonderful and beautiful. Self-love is important. The greatest thing in the world is love.

Love of Break Dancing - Frida Love

    Chapter One

    Johnny

I woke up to my loud alarm clock at 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Johnny get up, my mother, Sonia, yelled as I pushed back my covers to put on my shirt. Yo, you gonna dance today? my brother Hector asked me while brushing his hair. Yo, bro, are you serious about that question. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. A stupid question, Hector said. We both laughed as I ran my shower water. Oh by the way, your friend Jose called and said meet him by 125 Street. I believe that’s where y’all going to dance at. All right thanks, bro, I said as I turned on the radio. MC Force’s Love Is a House played. All I kept thinking of is dancing. That’s what I loved. I started dancing at the age of four years old. My father, Juan, saw my talent and got me in videos dancing for artists like New Edition and other great famous people, but I still lived in the Bronx on East 169th Street, Morris Avenue. I then got out the shower, looked out the window as the sun shined bright. Yo, Johnny, you coming out to dance, one of my homies Chris shouted up at me. I said, Yeah, and nodded my head to say what’s up. I closed the window, went back to the bathroom as I wiped off my chest and stomach. I counted my six pack and said, I see why the girls go crazy over me, and laughed as I put on my wifebeater shirt and sweatpants and put my hair up in a bun and packed all my things and gave my mother, Sonia, a hug and a kiss before I left my apartment. I looked at my little brother Miguel’s picture. I prayed and blew a kiss at his picture. He died, was shot at the age of thirteen years old. Ever since then my mami y papi haven’t been the same. I walked out my second-floor apartment and heard down the hallway door open. It was my girlfriend Cyn. Well, she wasn’t actually my girlfriend, just a girl I was sleeping with. Hey, baby, Cyn said, giving me a kiss on my lips. She wrapped her arms around me while pushing me against the wall, kissing and sucking on my neck. She licked my earlobe while pulling my hair. I was getting turned on. My eyes rolled back, and I was getting horny but aggravated at the same time. I stopped her. Yo, you want to take this behind the staircase. I stared. She then walked behind our staircase, took my hand to follow as she tongue kissed me and pushed me against the wall again, bit at my nipple as she licked on my chest and kissed my stomach as she unzipped my zipper and took out my dick as she sucked and sucked. I couldn’t take it no more and came in her mouth. As we got done, I pushed her head away from me as I put my dick back in my pants. She wiped her mouth with my cum still dripping from her mouth as she swallowed. I shook my head at her and said, Well, I have to go, bye, have a nice day. I opened my building door, stepping into the breeze, kinda cold day as I waited for the BX32 bus to take all the way down to Mott Haven to catch the six train and get off at one stop 125 Street. I then put on my headphones and listened to B-boy music as I thought to myself and danced inside my thoughts. I took off one earphone to tell the old lady Suzette who sat next to me, If I fall asleep, could you wake me up. I get off at Mott Haven. She smiled at me and replied, Young man, get some rest. I wake you up when your stop come up. I got a quick long nap as the bus stopped, and she woke me up. I got off at 143 Willis Avenue. I walked by the police station. I saw nothing but young guys my age in handcuffs. Sad thing to see but it was life. If you lived the streets of the ghetto in Harlem, Bronx, wherever you lived at and lived in the struggle, you would understand. I waved to the MTA lady as she said, Hey! Johnny, have a good day and good dance. Hi, Ms. Asia, will do. I smiled and went through to catch my train. I waited for the six train as I know the boys would be waiting for me in back of the train. I checked my watch, a quarter to seven. At 7:05 a.m., I heard the train and got my stuff together. While carrying my bag the train stopped. I walked in while I stood up riding the train. I was only getting off the next stop, so I didn’t sit down. I looked across and saw this beautiful girl. Her hair was a jet-black. It was long. It touched her hip. She had on a dress with Converse on with darkred lipstick and a long black jacket with glasses on I just stared at her. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was just that beautiful, and a beautiful brown skin she had. Not once did she look at me. She was busy reading her book. The train stopped at Harlem 125 Street. I walked over to the door waiting for it to open. I then noticed she, too, got up. To my whole surprise we were getting off at the same time. This time she looked at me and smiled but rolled her eyes as we walked off the train. For some odd reason I shook my head and just smiled as she waited for the four or five train. Yo, what up, Jose said while we slapped each other’s handshake and set up the radio. I just stared at her while she just stood there. Yo, bro, why you keep staring at her, Jose said, laughing. She beautiful, man, something ’bout her, I said, looking at my watch and looking back at her. Yo, bro, you know how old she is? Jose looked at me. Nah, how old? She’s twenty-four. I know her. That’s my sister Del’la’s friend, and she won’t go for an eighteen-year-old boy like you. Jose began to laugh while hitting me in my stomach. We played Whodini’s Freaks Come Out at Night as the crowd crowded around us. All you heard from the audience was Ahh shit, go, boys, do ya thing. They loved us and would dance along with us, especially if the ladies liked you or thought you were cute. They dance close to you, so I did my crazy backflips, spun on my head, did the moonwalk. I was going all out the audience, went wild as the little kids started dancing to Newcleus’s Jam on It. As everyone on 125th Street started to dance, my heart dropped when the woman I thought looked so beautiful, the twenty-four-year-old girl my homie Jose told me about took off her jacket raised one leg straight in the air and started spinning around like a spinning top, did a split, and started dancing to Afrika Bambaataa’s Planet Rock.

    Chapter Two

I looked at my watch. It was 8:15 a.m. I didn’t even want to dance no more. Watching her dance I couldn’t believe it. Oh my god, I said in shock. Yeah, I know, bro, she can dance, Jose said and added, Her father was a break-dancer. She dance salsa, but she also know how to dance break dance watching her brothers, the hot boys. Wait, the hot boys are her brothers? Yeah, man, Jose said, taking off his shirt. In my belief they, too, were a good break dancing group. No, they were great close to us. As she stopped dancing, everyone clapped and cheered for her. I was so confused ’cause it was me and my boys’ show and she just came and started dancing. But the crew was okay with it ’cause they knew her very well, ’cause if that was someone else we would have stopped our show and told them do not dance if you from another dancing group, but my boys didn’t stop her at all. They let her do her thing. When done, we all gathered our money from the fans as she picked up her jacket, gave the boys a hug, and looked at me and said bye. I just waved and watched her get on the four train. Freestyle’s Don’t Stop the Rock played on the radio as me and the boys danced. I saw the woman on the train watching as the train moved. I blew her a kiss. She rolled her eyes and smiled and laughed then turned her back against the train window. Bro, her name is Laurita, Jose said. What? I said clapping and dancing. He shouted, "Her name is Laurita! I thought to myself, a beautiful name on a beautiful lady who was older than me Bro, don’t even try to make your move on her. She mean but she nice, but she’ll be mean to you, Jose said, putting his money away. Now who said I was trying to put my moves on her, I said looking away. Ahh, bro, I know you, you youngin’, Jose said as we both laughed. And plus you got that Cyn girl. I rolled my eyes. She not my girl, I responded to him. By this time it was 8:59 a.m. We got on the five train and performed until we got off at Fourteenth Street. We heard a loud cheer and wanted to see what was the big party until I saw Laurita with her brothers dancing. Ahh, man, her again, I said. What you mean? as she turned around and heard me. Nothing, woman, nothing, I said. Whatever." Laurita walked away. This girl’s attitude, I wonder why she ain’t like me, so rude, I mean, but nice to others. It was just fucking weird to me.

    Chapter Three

Hey, Del’la, how are you? I asked. I’m good, love, she said as she gave me a hug. Is Jose there? Yeah, come in. I then came through the door and locked it behind me as I went to Jose’s room. What up, Johnny? Jose came in his room as he closed his door. So we out to the movies? Yeah, we just waiting on Laurita. Wait, she coming too? I asked. Yeah, man, I did say her and Del’la are friends. Jose laughed as there was a knock at the door. Bro, can you go get that, Jose said. I got up, headed to the door, looked through the peek hole. It was Laurita with Jose’s girlfriend Jasmine. I then opened the door. Oh god, no, what the hell is he doing here, Laurita said out loud. I just laughed and shook my head and said hi to her. Yeah, yeah, hello, young man, out my way. She pushed me as Jasmine gave me a hug and walked over by Jose to give him a kiss. Del’la and her boyfriend Sean came out the room ready to go. What movie we going to go see? Laurita asked in her cute voice. "I was thinking Demons 2 by Lamberto Bava. Yikes, I’mma be so scared, Laurita said. I then got up and whispered in her ear, I’ll protect you. She jumped. I laughed. She moved away from me. Oh please, an eighteen-year-old protect who? Me? Boo, you better stop. She laughed. She was funny. I laughed with her. We all left the apartment to catch a cab to go to the movies on 161st Street. As we got in the cab, Hey, when did you start dancing? I asked her as she looked out the car window. I started dancing at three. I was around my father and his friends. My dad was a break-dancer, had me at the age of eighteen. My dad was a father at eighteen. My mother told me I was always with him when him and his friends started dancing. I would watch him and start dancing myself. Soon I was dancing with my father and his friends, which are my uncles. That’s an amazing story. I wrapped my arms around her. Oh, boy, do you wrap your arm all your females, you youngin’. She softly smiled. I may be young, but I’m mature and a man, and no, I don’t, but I like you. You do, Laurita said. Yeah, from the first time I seen you on the train. Wow, she replied as the cab stopped on 161st Street to the movie theater. We got out and walked through the big parking lot. Gosh, it’s cold, Laurita said, shaking. Man, was she right. This November was cold. I fixed her scarf as she felt much warmer. I held her hand as she held on to mine. I felt like the luckiest young man. We ordered our tickets to the movies then got some drinks and popcorn. Dang, this movie is packed," Del’la said while we found seats in the middle. I mean, come on, it was the eighties, the best years. We sat down. I let Laurita sit in the middle. I knew she’ll be scared and I did want to protect her, not only from this horror movie but for the rest of my life. I sounded like a silly eighteen-year-old, but I was serious. While we sat there waiting for the movie to start, she told me all about her just in minutes.

Hey, Johnny, is that you? my mami Sonia said very softly. "Yes, mi amor, it’s me. So how was the movies? she asked while I sat in the sala. It was good, Mom. Hey, can I talk to you, Mom? Sure you can, son, she replied. Well, I met this girl, well, woman, she an older woman. Oh really? How old is she? my mom asked. I hesitated. She’s twenty-four. Wow, okay, does she knows how you feel? Mom questioned me. Yeah, she does. So what’s the problem, son? Sonia asked. I think she’s afraid of what people may say about our age, but I don’t care though, not at all. That’s my man, my mother said while giving me a beso (kiss) on the cheek. I got off the couch and began to walk to my room. Hey! Son! What you love about her the most? My mom’s question stuck in my heart and mind. What you love about her the most! Y’all two will share till you are old. I looked back at Mama Love and said, Dancing, we share the same passion of love of dancing. Friday, I’m taking her out dancing at a club on Fourteenth Street."

I closed my door, took off my shirt, and lay down as I watched my TV with Laurita on my mind, then I heard the phone ring. Johnny, the phone is for you, my mom said through the door. It’s some young lady named Laurita. I got excited and jumped out of my bed, opened my door. Mom, that’s her, I said. She smiled and nodded her head. My mother had never seen me act like this about no female.

But Laurita wasn’t just any female I was falling for her hard. She had a magic about her, her sensitive heart, loved her attitude. She was beautiful, and man, she knew how to dance. Her soft voice spoke into the phone. I’m so sorry, I hope I’m not bothering you at this time of night, she said. No, you not, I was just thinking of you. There was a knock at the door. You was? She sounded shocked. Yes, amor. She laughed. Her laughs sent chills. Who is it? my mom yelled. Cyn. I rolled my eyes madly. Hi, Ms. Sonia, is Johnny here? Yeah, he is, come in. My mother didn’t like her but still let her in. He’s in the kitchen on the phone. Cyn hugged and kissed my neck as she said, Hi, baby! very loudly. What ‘hi baby’? Johnny, who’s that? Laurita said madly. She’s a friend from down the hall, and boom, everything got real messy. Yeah, a friend he let me suck and fuck him behind staircases, Cyn said, laughing. The fuck? Laurita spoke into the phone. Let me explain, I begged her. No, little boy, leave me alone and go be with that whore. Oh, come on, I said as she hung up the phone on me. I called back to only get a voice mail. I then put my head in my hand thinking, Damn, I messed up bad. I looked at Cyn madly and walked away from her as I slammed my room door. Hey, Johnny baby, open the door, my beautiful mom asked. She turned around and told Cyn, "Get out my house now! as she pointed at the door and slammed the door behind Cyn. I then went out to call Del’la. Yo, sis, could you come over? I asked. Yeah sure, she said. Mom, Del’la coming over, leave the door unlocked. Oh, my daughter coming. I missed her, she coming now? Tonight? Sonia asked. Yes, mami. Son, I know that you are hurt, but don’t give up. She’s hurt just like you are hurting, but I have to be honest. She have a right to be mad at you and be hurt. Did you hear what Cyn said? And I told you about girls like her (be with a classy young lady, not a whore), my mother said. I looked at her. So go get her. I looked at my mother in the eye as I started to cry. There was a knock at the door. Now go wipe those tears, son, those man tears. We both laughed. Who is it? It’s me, Del’la, she said low. Oh, my daughter," my mother shouted. She opened the door. I wasn’t ready for the shock.

    Chapter Four

Hey, Mom, this is my friend Laurita, Del’la said to my mother. Laurita said hello in her cute soft voice. My son told me about you, you’re so beautiful. Laurita looked at me and rolled her eyes. That’s so wonderful, she said. I’m so sorry, Miss, I can’t do this. I have to go. Laurita left. Wait, baby girl, my son wants to fix things. My mom went out after her. I put on my sneakers and shirt as I went after the woman I fell hard for. I grabbed her. Look, she didn’t mean nothing to me. Laurita cried as I said those words. She yelled, Go be with her, and pushed me away as she tried to exit my building. I grabbed her by her hips. Please just let me go. As my mom tried to
