My Mother and Shakespeare: A Daughter's Journey
()
About this ebook
I have now completed the final phase of the journey which I began five years ago to fulfill a promise that I made to my mother - that being, to put into book form the several volumes of her literary writings. Subsequently, that promise has resulted in the creation of this exceptional edition, uniting it with her three previous literary achievements - "Immortal Kisses - Confessions Of a Poet," "Songs Of You - A Postscript," "Silhouettes - Literary Passageways," and "What Is Love," written by myself, a biography of my parents, detailing their profound romance and their lives together - the essence of my mother's writings. My promise has now been fulfilled beyond anything that I might have ever imagined, producing an outcome I never dared to envision - achieving recognition that I sought for so long, for my wonderful mother. At last, dreams have come true!

What is Love
Foreword
One miraculous day, as I was sifting through the papers of my mother, I came upon a note that she and my father had written to me. I remember receiving it, but then lost track of where it had landed
– now I know. My mother had had the foresight to save it, keeping it in her beloved box of papers. The appropriateness of the message is spot-on,
with reference to what I have done and achieved for both my parents. It was as if they knew that one day I would be doing incredulous things, one of which was immortalizing them in story and print – it was my mother’s sixth sense that emerged and eerily saw into the future!

In its passion, energy and intelligence
Your commitment to what you believe is morally right,
Is remarkable
And riveting.
Phony explanations
and non-sequiturs
Are the last things that you want from those around you.
We are deeply touched and inspired by what you are doing.
And we predict
Pauli
That you will become a symbol and powerful compass for others.
Like the sea
Our admiration is infinite!
CIAO! We applaud you!
M and D
I was brought to tears upon this discovery, for I realized and remembered the love bestowed upon me by my parents, and their astonishment at what I wanted to create for them – books! They were in awe of my drive and determination, which was unstoppable. My mother and father were here for the beginning of the first book – Immortal Kisses – Confessions Of a Poet.
The four that followed – Songs Of You – A Postscript,
Silhouettes – Literary Passageways,
What Is Love,
and this, My Mother and Shakespeare – A Daughter’s Journey,
have all been completed as they have undoubtedly watched from Heaven. That was and is my driving force – to present them with this precious gift! And that is why this last book had to be published. Now, my raison d’etre
has reached its conclusion. I have immortalized my precious mother and my adoring father.

A Daughter’s Journey
The answer as to the why
of this book can be found in my marvelous story of surprise and adventure, and my grand discovery during the course of my investigation.
Rummaging through my mother’s drawers, I came upon a faded and worn red book that I had been hunting for in an occasional on and off yet persistent manner, knowing of its certain existence – but where? That was always the question in my mind. I had
