Chapter 1
It was the summer of 2011 people come to Uranuls from all over the world for the beaches the warm clear blue water and white sandy beaches. Over the horizon in recent weeks there had been a series of three attacks on four beachgoers and a dog by a massive killer shark the resort hasn’t been the same since.
The shark swam motionless through the night, swimming around with short back-and-forth movements with its crescent tail, his mouth opened just a little bit but just enough for water to rush over its gills. The fish continued to swim poking its head in and out of the water looking for food, but the fish senses didn’t transmit anything to its small brain.
The surroundings among the north shore of the resort seemed to be dark just like the water because there was no moon. But what had separated the sea from the shore was a long stretch of beach just as white as it shone. From the restaurant from the resort, lights made yellow reflections on the sand like glares.
A couple was dining in the restaurant when the man suggested they go for a swim after dinner as they went for a walk on the beach. The front door of the resort opened, and they both stepped down onto the porch. They looked at each other smiled at each other, then kissed as they were holding hands. They both ran together hand in hand to the beach. They walked back and forth holding hands on the beach, then they stopped and stared at the ocean. Still want to go swimming?
said the man. To work off what you ate ’cause I know how you like to stay in shape.
Never mind my shape,
said the woman, smiling at the man. They helped each other take off their clothes. After their clothes were off, they kissed again and held hands as they both walked into the ocean, making out in the water. The woman said, Honey don’t go out to far ’cause we don’t know what’s out there.
The man replied, We won’t, honey, there’s nothing out here.
