About this ebook
What do we know about Noah?
The Bible tells us (Genesis 6:8-9) that he found grace in the eyes of the Lord and that he was a righteous man and the only blameless man living on the earth at the time.
This book explores a possible story of Noah and his life:
...How he met his wife
...How he came to be a righteous man
...How he became a builder
...How he was able to accomplish what the Lord told him to do
...Who helped him
...What it was like in an evil world
...What it was like on the ark
It all could have happened this way.

First an Explanation
In order to try to avoid confusion for the reader, there needs to be an explanation for some of the names of people from the Bible used in this book.
From Genesis 4:16–22, Cain left the garden of Eden and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. Cain’s first son was Enoch. Then Cain founded a city, which he named after his son, Enoch.
Then further descended from Enoch was Methushael, who had a son named Lamech. Lamech married two women, Adah and Zillah. Lamech and Zillah had a daughter named Naamah.
From Genesis 5, descended from Seth were Enoch (v. 18) and Methusaleh (v. 21), who was the father of Lamech (v. 25), the father of Noah (v. 29).
So there are two Enochs—one, the son of Cain and the name of a city, and the other, a descendant of Seth, who walked with God and did not die but disappeared because God took him (5:24).
There are two men with very similar names: Methushael descended from Cain, and Methusaleh descended from Seth. Both of them have sons named Lamech.
So there are two Lamechs—one, the father of Naamah (whom you will become acquainted with), and the other, the father of Noah.
Naamah (Nay’ahma) and the Ark
Chapter 1
Two beautiful babies! Twin redheaded baby girls! The new mother was so happy. She looked at them with love and excitement. She already knew what she wanted to name them, Adah and Zillah, after her mother and sister. Her proud and love-filled heart gradually changed—to fear and terror!
The first fourteen years of Zilpah’s life had been wonderful. She was the youngest of five children, and her entire family had doted on her and treated her like a queen. She was the apple of her father’s eye, and he had given her everything that she ever wanted. Then came the day she had so looked forward to—her fourteenth birthday party. It was going to be wonderful! That morning, she woke up to horses pounding the ground outside her house and men shouting. Soon there were screams and loud crying. A man broke down her door and carried her out into a terrible scene. Her father was lying on the ground covered with blood, and she saw one of her brothers killed as a giant man stabbed him with a sword.
Her family was very wealthy and owned a large farm and many cattle. That had
