Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. Noah had never really liked the sea, water or even sailing because he was very much a land lover, and as his ex-boyfriend had said plenty of times Noah was next to useless out in the open water, and for some silly reason that ex-boyfriend actually still wondered why he was an ex.

Noah stood on the bow (front to normal people) of a large white fishing boat with strong bright white metal sides, or a hull to fishing people, two large engines on the back and a small white metal hut-like shelter near the front of the boat that was what Noah called the bridge, were he controlled the boat from.

He had absolutely no idea if it was actually called a bridge, the only reason why he was out here twenty miles off the coast of Dover in the middle of the wide open ocean with the famous white cliffs being a mere line across the horizon, with deep blue water swirling, twirling and whirling around him was because he was trying to help out a great friend of his. Since Brooklyn had received a cancer diagnosis in July, and whilst she was thankfully in remission because of a crippling dose of chemo that she was slowly recovering from, she still sadly couldn’t go fishing and exploring like she normally did.

And that was what earned her a lot of money after all, so to make sure Brooklyn didn’t lose too much money Noah had volunteered to take her ship out and try his hand at fishing for her.
