    Intro: If your dad or one of your teachers always seems to be bothered by something, you could say that he has a bee in his bonnet. For example, maybe your teacher bugs you about your handwriting being messy. Or, your mom hassles you about putting your dishes in the dishwasher after every meal.

    Other forms: A bee in her/his/your bonnet.

    Meaning: When a person talks or focuses too much (obsesses) about something. If a bee is in your bonnet (a hat), it buzzes and might sting you; this can be like a thought, feeling, etc., that continually buzzes around your mind. Some
