About this ebook
Quick-witted P.I. Jessie Witthun is determined to be a Roaring Twenties' New Woman, and no amount of danger is going to keep her from pursuing justice or living the life she chooses, but she really is a magnet for trouble! She inadvertently becomes the target of a brutal thug, top enforcer for the biggest crime lord in town. But she also attracts the attentions of two very different men, sexy RCMP Inspector Ed Wright, and dreamboat Charlie Cameron, the son of her mentor. Who says that being in danger and making a little whoopee are mutually exclusive?
Set in 1923 Toronto, Canada, and loaded with historical flavour, fascinating characters, humour, and a serious dash of romance, this novel is a fun, addictive read. You won't want the exciting adventures of this spunky young heroine to come to an end. And the good news is that Jessie Witthun's escapades continue, in the Jessie Witthun Mystery Series. You'll be hooked!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thankfully, Anne L. Darling doesn’t write depressing, heavy fiction, the kind that leaves you more depressed than when you first read it!
Reading Séance and Stilettos was a breath of fresh air! The book practically reads itself! It was that easy and enjoyable!
The way the author weaves her story line into Toronto in the roaring twenties is both impressive and authentic.
If you like strong, kick-ass female protagonists, menacing gangsters, and loads of romance and humour, look no further!
Can’t wait to read the next book in the series, “Dragon & Phoenix”!
