The Media Mind Manipulation Manual: What Journalists Must Know to Keep Their Sheeple under Control.
()
About this ebook
There’s a lot you can say about the world’s second oldest profession but not much of it is very good. Journalism leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Watch five minutes of mainstream media to get a taste. And it’s not just because journalists are immoral opportunists who don’t respect the most basic ethical norms. It’s also because they’re cynical swindlers, deceitful hypocrites and conniving, money-grubbing hacks who don’t have one ounce of integrity. And if you’ve been observing them long and carefully enough you know that journalism has never been as corrupt as it is today. These greedy peddlers of fabricated news have now reached the point where they pose a real threat to freedom of speech itself, a principle they are reputedly duty-bound to uphold. They do so openly by ignoring or suppressing issues and views that don’t fit their narratives. They do so secretly through the clever circulation of partisan propaganda and large-scale disinformation campaigns directed against those who refuse to accept their view of the world. They’ve put themselves in the absurd situation of masquerading as arbiters of truth and free speech while actively suppressing both. And oddly, they seem indifferent to this irony while we watch them morph into the new super-villains of Western culture right before our very eyes. Yet tragically for all of us, these self-serving, arrogant media lackeys don’t have to be this way. They weren’t always like this. Or were they?
After many years of comprehensive research, I am pleased to present my observations on how I believe the journalist’s mind works. It’s called the Media Mind Manipulation Manual, or MMMM for short. It is a collection of the ways in which journalists use shameless spin and hysterical hype to manipulate those who still choose to believe them. It demonstrates the latest deceptive journalistic methods and perfidious practices now in vogue. Although an attempt at humor, it hopefully demonstrates how the current state of journalism is no laughing matter. Today’s media “professionals” are not only hopelessly dishonest and corrupt, they have literally changed the course of recent history in very significant and negative ways. If we continue to let ourselves be manipulated in the ways described, we are in very real danger of losing the few remaining freedoms we still enjoy.
PS: The original title of this book was going to be the Mass Media Mind Manipulation Manual (or MMMMM), but I was worried the extra M might induce a seizure.

There are lies and then there are damned lies. And then there is unbiased, objective journalism.
There is a fundamental difference between journalists and propagandists. A propagandist does not strive for fairness or accuracy. A journalist doesn't either, of course, but pretends to.
Write about ordinary people
and ordinary life
as if you knew what that meant. Your customers are very gullible (otherwise they wouldn’t be your customers) and are flattered by the thought that you are one of them.
A good journalist never stops repeating her I listen to both sides of the story
mantra while faithfully promoting the only side of the story she intended to promote from the start.
Don't think for a moment that bias, lies and a lack of ethics don't matter anymore. They do. Somewhere. It's just that they don't matter in your profession anymore.
Good journalists know that their job is not to see but to be seen, not to listen but to be listened to, not to understand but to be understood. Get the drift?
Never forget that you’re first and foremost a moral authority. But also never forget that you’re first and foremost a business. An irreconcilable hypocrisy? Of course it is. But that's your customer’s problem, not yours.
Exploit Western self-hate and woke self-destructive madness by routinely dishing up images of the Western World being THE evil force wrecking the planet. Self-loathing enjoys mass popular appeal.
Never be flabbergasted by the general public's shockingly low level of awareness. They are dependent on you for their information, after all.
Similar to the way infants get enjoyment from the shrieking and babbling sounds they make, well-conditioned sheeple get pleasure babbling the ready-made catchwords and slogans you’ve conditioned them to repeat.
Patiently inflate any issue that could be useful in promoting the progressive agenda you will never under any circumstances admit you are promoting.
Twist any fact you need to twist if it helps imply that your current Designated Bad Guy operates out of some hidden personal agenda or some sinister ulterior motive.
Pretend what you like but your news stories are nothing more than editorials. You had your opinion before you started writing and you'll never publish anything contrary to the implicit assumptions you base all your thinking on. There’s nothing to apologize for here. That's just how journalists like us roll.
The sheeple are vaguely aware that the vast majority of media, academia, Big Tech and Hollywood are on the left side of the political spectrum. That's why it's important to regularly fabricate stories about the growing danger
of right-wing extremism. This is a growing danger, oddly, that has been growing in the media for several generations now. But still.
Do your best to provide two sides to every news story. But do even better presenting your side in an openly tendentious and brazenly biased way.
The more your customers access the latest news tools and technologies, the closer you will come to giving up any pretense of being an unbiased journalist and slipping completely into full-tilt totalitarian propaganda mode.
Be responsible and recycle. Always try to spin-off any potentially promising hysterical byproduct your current bogus threat produces into the next bogus threat to push.
The sheeple are like little children. Present them with their daily bright shiny object
(fake news item) to deflect from the real story you don’t wish them to see.
First condition the sheeple to think that your stand on a given issue is so sacrosanct that no one would ever dare offer an opposing view. Then point out that the lack of opposing views (which of course you suppress) is proof that your stand on the issue is sacrosanct.
Pro tip:
1) Create a bogus crisis.
2) Propose a bogus solution to solve it.
3) Once everyone figures out there is no bogus crisis claim your bogus solution solved it.
Keep your list of celebrity activists up to date. It doesn't matter what they’re pushing as long as it reflects your shared left-wing ideological identity. On slow news days just pick one at random and tickle the latest vapid virtue-signaling insanity out of her.
If the careful examination of a controversial issue could damage the re-election chances of a Democratic Party candidate, launch one of your standard disinformation hoaxes to deflect attention and suppress examination until after the election.
Who gets more media coverage? Skeptical climate scientists who haven't been officially cancelled yet or the usual cast of characters (activist poster children, brain dead politicians, vapid celebrities, etc.) who have made a lifetime career out of the
