A Different Kind of Christmas Story - Ran Walker
Chapter 1
Daily, Mississippi
Once listed in a national periodical as one of the 100 most beautiful towns in America, Daily, Mississippi, believed in doing Christmas big. Norman Rockwell big!
Lights lined the store windows on Main Street, tinsel Christmas trees and holiday bells affixed to the tops of street lamps.
The park in the center of town housed candy canes, reindeer cutouts, and snowmen made of plaster, all surrounding a gazebo illuminated in red and green lights.

But he’d be damned if his house didn’t look better than his neighbors.
Chapter 3
Early in the Morning
Anderson Sr. and Sharon normally woke around 6 AM and proceeded to get the kids ready for school. Anderson Sr. handled Andy, their ten-year-old, and Sharon handled Corliss, their seven-year-old. Both were old enough to ride the bus to school, freeing up time for the parents to get ready for their own jobs.
A fifth grader and a second grader were enough to keep their hands full, but the kids were fairly mature for their ages, precocious one might even say.
Saying goodbye, the kids would squirm as Sharon licked her thumb and wiped the remaining sleep from their
