Straddling the Razor Wire Ii - Elizabeth Wiley
The Declaration of Independence
Most of the high level private schools I have taught have a responsibility to the children and parents to make sure each child is able to pass January of Kindergarten interviews for the most prestigious private schools in America.
The lists of what those children have to know is discussed later in this book under the Department of Education.
The Declaration of Independence is a document that the Founders expected to be living and ongoing. Each of us, whether a Native Nation person, an immigrant family of long or short standing, and one or many generations. Guests, tourists, workers and students who come on Visa’s for short term needs to uphold each and every day.
If a five year old child can sing forty seven pop songs, and tell you the scores and rankings of not just basketball players and teams, but football, soccer, ice hockey and baseball teams as well, that five year old CAN know what the Declaration of Independence says and is about. If a child or adult comes to America, they should be taught at least as much as a five year old private school kindergarten child and have to know what it means, in American Business Language before being given a green card, or allowed to apply for citizenship.
While Immigration itself is discussed later in the chapter about the Department of Immigration and citizenship of alien guests, every citizen and guest on American soil needs to understand what made American different and how important it is to protect those rights, NOT just know the Fifth in case you get arrested. The Fifth Amendment is (learn your history) so NO ONE can be forced, or tortured, or family threatened into testifying against themselves in a Court of law, The Right to not have police harass, threaten or harm a person until they sign a confession
which. IS what the laws of jolly old (which apparently. from the Declaration of Independence was NOT so jolly).
This is an important FACT for every voter to know about their elected representatives!
CONGRESS is there to represent YOU, every single one, not just voters, not even just citizens, but ALL people on American soil. Franklin Roosevelt actually wrote into the duties of every President to be RESPONSIBLE for every single person on American soil, and to guard the RIGHTS of the PEOPLE under the Constitution, as well as to protect EVERY SINGLE ONE from the effects of poverty. He listed those effects. Those rights later became the base for the Ten Rights and Responsibilities of the United Nations Constitution as envisioned by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt (Reassessing and Restructuring Public Agencies, Wiley, 2013, 2017; page 19 and 181-222). Every agency created in response to the demands of the PEOPLE, once legislated, and entered into THE MANUAL OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT can NOT be changed by the whimsy a Congress over run by lobbyists, who are illegal. They are named lobby
ists because they were prohibited from the White House, any House of Congress or the Supreme Court. SO, they lurked behind plants and pillars in the lobbies of hotels, with fat envelopes in pockets to illegally buy
votes or argument by ELECTED officials. Google, 2017 when asked responded, In 1946, Congress passed the Federal Regulation of Lobbying Act, which required that any person who spent more than half their time lobbying members of the government to register with the government. (Google, Apr 15, 2017). This does not describe or explain if, or how lobbyists were legal except skulking out in hotel lobbies. Nothing about lobbyists rather than VOTERS being the people to talk to ELECTED officials.
It might sound strange, but go see LEGALLY BLONDE TWO. It gives a good idea of what goes on in Congress, and a great idea for each PERSON in America, especially voters and taxpayers who have a stake in it…….FIND and USE your voice, NOT in tired, divisive protests
. They are not the positive stand ups of fifty years ago. Have a laugh and block party across the country day saying, get together if you are here, help. us make it save and equal and just. Positives, not negatives. After a good block party, make a chart of things needed done. IF every block raised money, and TAKES IT OFF. THEIR TAXES, for one block of street, sidewalk and tree keeping, WOW. Find two or three companies and have them set a schedule THEY will love. AND. contact the electric, gas, and internet providers, while the street is open is a super time for THEIR crews to repair and replace at less expense. Who needs city managers who could not find their way out of a paper bag??? EVERY block has a retired executive, or administrative assistant, or contractor and MOMS (even MR. MOMS) at home to help get it DONE, safely and RIGHT and fast. And a lot cheaper without corruption and big salary meeting goers who never get anything done!!!!
The laws establishing agencies are entered into THE MANUAL OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, each year. These enabling legislations can NOT be changed without PUBLIC hearings, giving the PEOPLE a chance to TELL their Senators and Congresspersons what they want, and to support those views, or not be re-elected. If necessary they MAY be recalled. BY the voters, NOT by gossip mongered media stories and party based allegations. America is regulated by THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to be innocent until PROVEN guilty in a court of law. NOT in media gossip or innuendo, or even big party backed protests
. The fault lies with THE VOTERS who continue to allow the elected to act against the Constitution. This ugly and unConstitutional form of attempting to influence votes or allow elected representatives could not work if EVERY voter stays involved. This does not mean boring political disputes over the week’s gossip or innuendo. Make NO mistake about it, when the crime wave hits your office, the mall or store you are shopping in, or your home, or YOU, just out for the day, you are going to wish YOU had been involved in resolving the problems between police and citizens and the corruption that over decades has led too the mess we are in. YOU do not want to be the person shot by police for no just cause, but you also do not want to be the person shot by a car jacker, or killed/maimed by drunk driver who had lawyers to get them out over and over and over. And you do not want to be the citizen needing police help but there are none because we defunded the departments. We CAN cut corruption and work together. Police on their off hours are citizens just like the rest of us. How many of us realize that both police and fire/paramedics generally cannot afford to live where they patrol.
Some years ago Montecito, California had a horrible forest fire come up over the back ridge and burn much of the huge mansions to the ground before the firefighters could get there from the 60 to 80 miles away they could afford to live. On news it was shocking to see that fire spread like that through those homes. One huge home had a large RV parked alongside, the house next door engulfed. That RV burned like a match stick covered with gasoline and spread to the house in the few minutes the news camera was running. The house was simply ash in a few minutes, the RV not even the full frame that fire was so hot and fast moving. It burned a corridor all the way to the ocean.
Firepersons USED to be people on the block, who today could easily be called in to a station within one mile, or meet at the fire sight with one fireperson bringing in the equipment, the others having their gear at home and meeting at the sight. That difference of an hour to an hour and a half on freeways in good traffic, that day clogged with fire emergency evacuation and rescue traffic made it longer.
When a similar fire occurred a few years earlier in Altadena, near where I kept my horses, we were told, you have 60 seconds to move these animals to the evacuation staging site. We thought what, that fire is across town. Across town was ONE MILE and a sixty mile an hour wind was blowing in the steep canyons, if that wind did the afternoon turn around it did each day, it would take ONE MINUTE to cross the one mile of mountain, taking every home and stable with it. WE moved our animals. Luckily.
That same area a few years before that had another forest fire come up out of a canyon where a homeless person had not realized in fast wind and dry conditions you can NOT have open fires to cook your dinner. That fire shot down that canyon, burned several mansions along the rim of the canyon, a stable and with no time to save the animals, barely time to jump in his truck and be burned, but live, the ranger station and little education center burned to the ground. The stable across the street? We moved the horses into the dam, some were burned, but saved. The stable burned to the ground.
The fire Chief told us and the firefighters we had to stop that fire, because if it leaped the dry wash and got into the houses with that wind blowing, the fire would jump house to house 50 miles all the way to the beach and possibly kill people stuck on the several freeways wandering through the windy area. There were NOT enough fire personnel to stop it once it got into the houses. I thought of that when I saw that Montecito fire on television news. WE ALL NEED TO KNOW THE REALITY and be part of the solutions.
The point of this is: WE ARE NOT SAFE. WE ALL need to work with our local fire and disaster departments to have critical fast response. This is not the place to play games with unions, and political parties. The Unions used to BE the workers and retired supervisors and managers. Today you often have someone’s college interning student that does not have the experience, or common sense to know what union members
