Cynthia J. Giachino
Cynthia J Giachino was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where her story takes place and her fondness of nature's beauty was acquired. She attended Northern Michigan University, graduating with two majors in education and a minor in psychology. She then taught for over 30 years. After retirement and encouraged by a friendship, she began a life-long goal of writing a book to share experiences with mental health issues, resulting from trauma in her childhood. These issues have had a lasting effect, into her senior years. Ms. Giachino hopes to bring awareness and discussion to her readers. She believes it is never too late to be one's own hero.
